The authorities in China's Gansu Province recently completed the building of a 3D database(数据库) to digitally(以数字方式) map the Great Wall in order to ensure better protection. The database contains all the information collected through advanced technology and produces 3D images of the part of the Great Wall in Shandan County.
The parts of the Great Wall in Gansu stretch for 3,654 kilometers. Over the past few years, the Gansu Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau has carried out more than 30 protection projects, using digital technology as a new method. The Shandan part stretches for over 300 kilometers, which was mostly built from the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty. The part in Xiakou Village is the main part. “The Great Wall in Xiakou has weathered over a long period of time. It now appears to have cracking and other matters,” said Bai Yuzhang, an official of Shandan County, adding that other relics, such as ancient street buildings, have also suffered different degrees of damage.
During the past two years, the local government has carried out several projects to repair the Xiakou part and started the digitalization project in 2021. The project was arduous. The team used UAV and remote sensing mapping technologies to take photos of the Great Wall. Then they worked day and night to make 3D models based on data analysis. It was a difficult process but they finally overcame problems with great determination.
After more than a year of data collection and analysis, the database has been completed and the system is preparing for final acceptance. “Digitalization breaks the limitations(限制) of time and space so that all kinds of cultural relics are available(可获得的) to users. They can understand the rich historical and cultural meaning of the relics,” Bai said. “The database is not only valuable historical materials of cultural relics, but also a stepping stone to future research, protection and application of the Great Wall heritage,” he added.

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms(节气). The year starts from Beginning of Spring and ends with Major Cold(大寒), moving in cycles. The solar term culture is still useful today to guide people's lives through special foods, cultural ceremonies and even healthy living tips.
Grain Buds(小满) is the 8th solar term of the year. It means that the seeds(种子) from the grain are becoming full. During Grain Buds, the summer harvest is about to begin. The baguette, a kind of long, thin French bread, is being added to UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
UNESCO experts gathering in Morocco this week decided that the simple French bread—made only of flour, water, salt, and yeast—was worth the recognition of the UN, after French Ministry of Culture warned of a “continuous drop” in the number of traditional bakeries (面包店), with some 400 closing every year over the past half century.
The UN cultural agency's chief, Audrey Azoulay, said, “The decision honors more than just bread; it recognizes the ‘graceful skills of bakers’ and ‘a daily ritual(习惯)’.” Azoulay added, “It is important that such baking knowledge and social practices can continue to exist in the future.”
With the bread's new status(地位), the French government said it planned to create a baguette day, called “Open Bakehouse Day”, to connect the French better with their heritage. Bakers in France seemed proud, if unsurprised. “Of course, it should be on the list because the baguette symbolizes the world,” said Asma Farhat, a baker at Julien's Bakery. “If there's no baguette, you can't have a proper meal. In the morning you can toast it, for lunch it's a sandwich, and then it accompanies dinner.”
Today, France's 68 million people still buy baguettes at a variety of sales points, including supermarkets. According to France's “Bread Observatory”, the French eat 320 baguettes of one form or another every second. “It's very easy to get bad baguettes in France. It's the traditional baguette from the traditional bakery that is in danger,” said one local resident, Marine Fourchier.
The baguette joins other food on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which UNESCO says, celebrates traditions or living expressions from our ancestors(祖先) and passes them on to our next generations.

B.Closing traditional baguette bakeries.
C.Improving the traditional baking skills.
D.Including it on the UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

A.Audrey Azoulay thought it was difficult.
B.Audrey Azoulay thought it was meaningful.
C.Audrey Azoulay thought it was creative.
D.Audrey Azoulay thought it was shocking.
34.What can we learn from Asma Farhat's words
A.Baguettes are common in the French diet.
B.Baguettes are easy to get in supermarkets.
C.Baguettes and sandwiches are equally important.
D.Baguettes are the most popular around the world.
35.What can we infer from the last two paragraphs

One afternoon after school, Mary and her brother, Keith, were eating at a cafe near their home. That afternoon, they had to share their table with another person. That person was a young lady in her twenties. After eating, she went to the restroom. Without realizing, she had left her cellphone on the table. Five minutes later, she came out and walked out of the cafe without looking back.
Mary saw the cellphone on the table. She quickly told Keith, “Keith, the girl left her cellphone behind.” Keith looked at the cellphone. It took his breath away. It was one of the latest models on the market. Keith had always wanted a cellphone. But his parents had told him, “You don't need one. You can always use the house phone.” He stared at it for some minutes. Then, he said slowly, pausing on every word, “I want to take the cellphone.” Mary could not believe her ears. She only stared at her brother, “You can't! What if the owner comes to look for it ”
After making the decision, Keith quickly got the cellphone and put it in his schoolbag. Then, he took Mary's hand and led her out of the cafe quickly.
Once back home, Keith locked his room door with trembling(颤抖的) hands. Inside his room, he took out the cellphone. Oh, he liked it so much. He had his own cellphone. Soon, he was polishing it happily. But Mary told him, “Keith, you cannot keep the cellphone. What will happen if you tell our father about this He will ask you how you got the cellphone.” Keith said quickly, “I will say a friend lent it to me.” Mary said, “Now you are lying too. Oh dear! When had Keith turned so dishonest ”
Then, Mary saw a house phone number on the cover of the cellphone. “This is the girl's house phone number. Why don't we just dial this number We will talk to her and ask her to come and take back her cellphone,” she was trying to talk some sense into him.
注意:续写词数应为150个左右。

That night,Keith turned over in bed from time to time. He had difficulty sleeping, uncertain about what he should do. Of course, he liked the new cellphone. The next morning, after a long and restless night, he was determined to return the cellphone to the owner. After school, he told Mary, “I am going to phone the owner.”
Mary was very happy to hear that. Back home, they phoned the owner's house phone. A girl answered the phone. Keith asked, “Are you the owner of the cellphone I'm Keith. I have your cellphone. Can you come and get it ” The girl replied “Yes” excitedly, expressing her gratitude repeatedly. Ten minutes later, she was at the same cafe to meet Keith. Handing back the cellphone to her and seeing her smile happily, Keith realized that honesty is indeed the best policy.
