Einstein: A Wise Man of Modern Science
Albert Einstein was born in Germany in 1879. He was one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century and is known for his theory of relativity(相对论).
Einstein was not a good student when he was young. He didn't like the strict rules of school and often daydreamed. However, he was very curious about the world. He loved to ask questions and think deeply about things. At the age of 16, he began to think about what it would be like to ride a beam of light(一束光)—this idea later led to his theory of relativity.
In 1905, Einstein published four important papers, which are now called his "miracle year" papers. One of these papers introduced the special theory of relativity, which changed people's understanding of time and space. Another paper explained the photoelectric effect(光电效应), which led to the invention of the laser and solar panels(太阳能板).
Einstein's most famous equation is E=mc , which shows that energy(能量)and mass(质量)are related. This equation laid the foundation(奠定基础)for nuclear energy(核能)and atomic bombs(原子弹). However, Einstein was against the use of atomic bombs in war.
In 1921, Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. Later, he moved to the United States to escape the Nazi regime(纳粹政权). He spent the rest of his life working on unified field theory(统一场论), which tried to explain all the forces of nature in one theory.
Einstein died in 1955, but his ideas continue to influence science today. He is also remembered for his wisdom about life. He once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, but imagination encircles(环绕)the world."
1.When and where was Einstein born
2.Why wasn't Einstein a good student when he was young
3.What did Einstein's special theory of relativity change
4.Why did Einstein win the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921
