Student analysis Ss. have previewed the text and finished their learning lists on P1-3 before the class. What’s more, on the basis of the previous input in this unit, students are interested in the topic. In addition, most of students are able to predict the main idea and structure after one year’s leaning in senior high school. However, the general English level is weak, so, there are some difficulties to output what they have learned.
Material analysis The topic of the text is “Should we fight new technology”. Based on the topic, the text mentions a car crash in a driverless mode,and demonstrates different opinions on the development of technology. On the one hand, some want to live a conventional life. On the other hand, technology has changed our life and has many advantages with examples. The author demonstrates that it is convenient for us in our daily life with convincing evidence and his positive attitudes to technology.
