the root of a problem, you will solve it.It's the same thing

you will understand where it comes from.
As readers, especially those reading in a second language, we
need to deal with the text as if we were detectives (侦探) looking for
information to unlock the unknown.Like any good detective arriving
on the crime scene, the first thing to do when meeting a new and
difficult word is to judge the situation, to look at everything that is
known and see if it helps us to understand what it means.
As you know, prefixes (前缀) and suffixes (后缀) can be added
to the beginning or end of words to change the meaning.Know them,
and you will have the word-building power.But root words are the
key.Take time to learn a few of these, put them in your memory, and
you will become a master word detective.
Let's look at one common root word used in English.“Alter” from
the Latin word means “other”.When you meet this root word, you

一、考情分析
语法选择题的形式是:阅读一篇 200 个单词左右的短文,完
成 10 个空格的语法选择,每空 1 分,共 10 分。主要考查语法在
篇章中的应用,侧重对语法知识的考查,如某个单词的不同形式。
广东省中考的语法选择题主要涉及以下语法点:介词、动词
的时态和语态、动词不定式、形容词比较级、代词、连词、冠词、
感叹句以及宾语从句。
二、解题策略
1.快速通读全文,掌握大意。
通篇浏览短文,掌握文中的时间、地点、人物以及事件等关
键信息。特别要注意认真阅读短文的开头句,通过首句可以推测
出许多重要信息。一定要把全文至少通读一遍,掌握文章的主要
内容,理清文章的思路,再着手选择答案。
2.观察分析,选择判断。
做题时应将语篇中所提供的条件和备选答案的情况结合起来
去分析、推理,排除明显不符合语境的选项,再在剩余的选项中
比较分析。
3.运用语法知识,理顺搭配关系。
语法知识是解答语法选择题的基础乃至关键。考生在答题时,
首先要注意看所选的答案填入空白处后,整个句子的语法结构(语
气、语态和时态)是否合理;其次,看语义是否通顺、上下文是否
连贯。
三、解题技巧
1.归类法:根据句意,把选项分组归类,缩小范围,提高答题
的速度和准确性。
2.题眼法:“题眼”是指题干中的关键词或关键符号,具有提
示信息的作用。一旦抓住了它,就能掌握选择的依据。
3.排除法:对于难度较大的题,如果一时不知道选哪一个,可
