学情分析
1.九年级学生经过两年多的英语学习，已积累一定词汇量，掌握基本语法知识和简单的阅读技巧，对一般话题能进行简单的听、说、读、写活动 。此前学生也接触过一些介绍不同国家文化的内容，对不同文化的差异有初步认知，这为学习本节课内容奠定基础。
2.学生的自主学习能力有所增强，但在面对复杂阅读材料和陌生文化背景知识时，部分学生仍需教师引导。在学习风格上，有的学生擅长视觉学习，通过图片、文字获取信息；有的学生更倾向听觉学习；还有学生喜欢通过小组合作、讨论等方式学习。
3.文中涉及的一些生词和短语，如“relaxed, value, drop by, after all”等，学生理解和运用起来可能有困难。此外，理解不同国家时间观念和社交习俗背后的文化内涵，对部分学生来说也具有挑战性，需要教师结合实例，深入浅出地讲解。
评价任务
1.词汇短语检测：课堂上通过单词拼写、短语翻译、例句填空等方式，检测学生对重点词汇和短语的掌握情况 ，如给出中文意思让学生写出英文单词或短语，或给出英文单词、短语让学生用其造句，评价学生能否正确认读、拼写和运用词汇短语。
2.阅读任务完成情况评价：针对 3a 和 3b 的阅读任务，检查学生回答问题的准确性和完整性。观察学生在阅读过程中能否运用略读、扫读、精读等技巧获取关键信息和细节信息，能否准确找出哥伦比亚和瑞士两国习俗的差异并填写在表格中，以此评价学生的阅读理解能力。
