I.语言点精讲
1.-What’s that 那是什么? -It's a cat .它是一只猫。
-What are these 这些是什么?-They’re carrot plants. 它们是胡萝卜苗。
指示代词是指用来指示或标识人或事物的代词。其中,指示代词主要可以分为:
表近指的指示代词
单数用this,意为“这个”;
复数用these,意为“这些”
表远指的指示代词
单数用that,意为“那个”;
复数用those,意为“那些”
指示代词用作主语和定语时,可指人或物;用作宾语和表语时,只指物。
this和that用来回指上文提到的事情时,可用this或that,但是若要指下文叙述的事情,通常要用this。为了避免重复,我们可用that和those来代替前面提到的名词。this和that除用作代词外,有时还可以用作副词,与形容词或副词连用,表示到这种(那种)的程度,其意为这么那么,大致与副词so同义
2.What animal does Helen see in the yard?海伦在院子里看到了什么动物
do和does虽然都可以作为助动词原形,但does是do的第三人称单数形式,两者所指的人称不同。
do可以和表示第一人称(即表示“我”“我们”的英语单词)和第二人称(表示“你”“你们”的人称代词)的主语搭配,而does只能和表示第三人称单数的主语搭配,比如他(he)、她(she)以及它(it)搭配,若是第三人称复数的人称代词,则与do搭配使用。
do既可以与第一、二人称单数形式搭配,也可与第一、二、三人称的复数形式搭配,而does则只能与第三人称单数形式搭配。

-How many rabbits can you see 你能看到多少只兔子?-I can see three.我能看到3只。
how many用来修饰可数名词的复数,它的句式是:How many+复数名词+一般疑问句。
how many的基本用法是对数量进行提问,many后面跟可数名词复数。
例如:How many pandas are there?你能看见多少只狮子?
How many lions can you see?
对there be句型中主语的数量如:some、five、only one等提问时,如果主语是可数名词,不管主语是单数还是复数一般都用复数形式提问。因为问话人不知道具体的数量是多少,而且many只能接可数名词复数形式,所以be一定要用are。即用How many+可数名词复数+are there+地点/时间状语的句型结构。
例如:There is a book on the desk。(用how many 改为特殊疑问句)
How many books are there on the desk?翻译:有多少本书在桌子上?
There are seven days in a week。(对划线部分进行提问)
How many days are there in a week?翻译:一周有多少天

Yuan Longping is known as China’s “Father of Hybrid Rice(杂交水稻)”. He won the World Food Prize(世界粮食奖)for his work to help feed so many people in 2004.
Yuan was born in 1930. When he was a child, his mother taught him English and told him stories in English. Yuan Longping spent a lot of time with his mother and he loved his mother very much.
