on one’s way to … 在某人去……的路上,后接here/there/home等地点副词时,应去掉介词to。

a little earlier 早一点儿
a little修饰比较级earlier。比较级前常用much(……得多),a little/a bit(一点儿),even(甚至),still(更加)等修饰,表示程度。

Direct VS Indirect questions
1. In a direct question, the verb comes before the
subject.
e.g. Where should we go next
2. In an indirect question, the subject comes before
the verb.
e.g. I wonder where we should go next.
3. For questions with a yes/no answer, we use the words “if” or “whether”.
e.g. I wonder if there’s a bank near here.

4. Some indirect questions have the structure of a statement and do not end with a question mark.
