In some Western countries, many children do chores to get pocket money．They usually start to do this when they are ten years old.

Young kids only do easy chores．So they don't get much money．But that's enough．Many of them only want to buy candy．And candy is cheap! They often help do the dishes, sweep the floor, or feed the pet cat or dog.

Doing Housework Makes Me Happy
I think it is very important for us to learn to do chores．And we can also learn a lot from it.
Last year, my mother asked me to do chores with her before the Spring Festival．I helped my mother clean the rooms and sweep the floor．We spent a lot of time doing chores．After we finished, we were so tired that we couldn't do anything else．But I got such a strong satisfaction when I saw the clean house．
This was the first time for me to do so many chores and I felt tired but happy．As a teenager, I hope that everyone can share chores!
