The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms.Grain Rain(谷雨), as the last term in spring, starts on 19th April and ends on 4th May.
Grain Rain comes from the old saying,“Rain brings the growth of hundreds of grains”, which shows that this period of rainfall is very important for the growth of crops.Here's something that you may not know about the Grain Rain.

In China, the 12th month of the lunar calendar(阴历) is called Layue.The month is full of interesting festivals and customs.

As you know, the Spring Festival is one of the most important festivals in China. It is usually called the Chinese New Year. To celebrate it, people always do a lot of preparations for it.
