One night, it was snowing heavily．My sister Megan was helping our neighbor Mrs Quinn look after her children．Around ten o'clock, Megan heard a knock at the door．She looked through the peephole and saw a middle aged man standing outside．He was wearing a black cap．
“Who is it？” she asked．
“Your brother Ben，” he replied．
Megan realised the man mistook her for his sister．She replied, “Mrs Quinn can't come to the door right now．”
“Ask if Ben can come in，” he said．
Looking through the peephole again, Megan found the man a little like Mrs Quinn．
“Well, the truth is I'm babysitting(临时照看小孩)，” Megan said．Suddenly she remembered our mother's warning: Don't let people know that you're alone．Megan quickly added, “But Mrs Quinn will be home soon．”
“It's very cold out here．Can I wait inside？” the man smiled．
Megan's heart raced．What should she do Then she said, “I'll call Mrs Quinn and see what she says．”
The smile disappeared from the man's face．“You're going to leave me outside You'll be in much trouble！” he shouted．
Megan was afraid but said, “I'm not letting you in, sir．You'll have to come back later．”
The man turned angrily, shouting loudly, and drove away．A little after eleven, Mrs Quinn came back．“How did everything go？”
“Your brother came．He wanted to wait inside for you, but I was afraid to let him in．When I told him I wasn't going to open the door, he got very mad at me and left．I'm sorry．”
“My brother？” Mrs Quinn said in surprise．“I don't have a brother！”
