A.- 作介词时,along意为“沿着”:

1.通过;走过;经过[单独使用的动词]

You'll pass a bank on the way to the train station.你在去火车站的路上会经过一家银行。

2给;递;传递
pass sb. sth.= pass sth to sb. = pass on sth to sb. = pass sth on to sb.

A.- except 除…之外;(除去的部分不包含在内)

B.-except for除…之外;只是…。这个结构表示对一个人或事物作总的评价之后;在就局部提出一点建议或看法。
①、Your composition is good except for a few spelling mistakes.

C.-but = except; 但是but 常用于 no one; nobody; nothing; nowhere; all; everyone; everything; everywhere等词之后。而且but前有do 的任何形式,则后面的动词用原形,否则需要接带to 的不定式。

=She often has a shower quickly after running in the morning.
注意:当quick为形容词时,在句中可作定语或表语;也可与quickly同为副词,在口语中多用quick(尤其在需要用比较级或最高级时)

B-辨析:quick, fast, soon
quick指运动动作发生或完成的迅速、敏捷,强调的是单一动作的突然性或短暂性,也指才智和反应的敏捷和灵敏; fast多指运动的物体,位置移动的迅速,强调物体运动的方式;soon则表示时间短,很快即将发生

A.-作为实义动词,need后面的宾语可以是名词,动名词,动词不定式或代词,在这种情况下,need既可用于肯定句,又可用于否定句或疑问句,构成否定句或疑问句时要借助于助动词do或does

①I need some erasers. 我需要一些橡皮。
→I don’t need any erasers. → Do you need any erasers → Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
②He needs your help. →He doesn’t need your help。
→Does he need your help →Yes, he does./ No, he doesn’t
need +to do sth. 表示“需要做某事”,这时need的主语是“人”。
①You need to put on your jacket. →You don’t need to put on your jacket.
→Do you need to put on your jacket →Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
sth needs doing. =sth. need to be done某物需要被怎么样。
如:Our classroom needs cleaning every day.
B.-作为情态动词,need后面跟动词原形,变否定时只需在need后加not,变疑问句时只需把need移至主语的前面。
①、I need go home now.
→ I needn’t go home now. (need + not = needn’t)
→ Need you go home now →Yes, I must. / No, I needn’t.
②、He need do his homework today. →He needn’t do his homework today.
→Need he do his homework today →Yes, he must./ No, he needn’t.
C.-作为名词,意为“需求,需要”, 其复数表示“基本需要”。要掌握两个词组:in (great) need of(急需) 与meet the needs of(满足……的需要)。

③、Our parents always try their best to meet our needs. ④、We must look after the needs of the elderly.

B.- 用来催促别人快走(做),意为:快点。如:
①、Come on, it‘s getting dark. 快点,天要黑了。
②、Come on, Mr Wang is waiting. 快点,王先生在等着呢。
C.- 表示责备或不耐烦等,意为:得啦;行啦;够啦。如
①、Come on, don‘t sit there dreaming. 得啦,别坐在那儿空想了。
