The Renri Poetry Festival(人日诗会) is held yearly at the Du Fu Thatched cottage (杜甫草堂)in Chengdu on the 7th day of the first lunar month. This festival is mainly to remember Du Fu. According to records, on the seventh day of the first lunar month in 761 AD, Gao Shi wrote a famous poem as a gift to Du Fu.
