empty adj. 空的;空洞的
empty作形容词,具体用法如下:
(1)意为“空的”(本句用法),其反义词为full(满的)。此时可作表语或定语。

(2)意为“空洞的”,通常只用在名词前作定语。

point out 意为“指出”,表示给某人指出方向、要点或错误等,属于“动副”结构的短语,虽可跟宾语,但若宾语是代词,须放在 point 和 out 之间。
at the table表示“在餐桌旁”,介词at在此表示“在……的旁边”,相当于next to或beside。
at table则意为“在进餐”。
She sat at the table but ate nothing.她坐在餐桌旁,但是什么也没吃。
You're not supposed to talk when you're at table.当你在进餐时你不应该说话。
