I’d like to talk about the river in our city. The river is not as beautiful as before. Environmental problems are becoming more and more serious. The river is dirtier now. People are throwing litter into the river . This is turning a beautiful place into an ugly one. Factories are putting waste into the river and they burn coal, which also pollute the air with a lot of black smoke. I think it is time to play a part in saving the earth.
First of all, we should let more people know the importance of environmental protection. Second, to cut down water pollution, we mustn’t throw the rubbish into the river. What’s more, it’s important to hand out environmental notices and post articles on the Internet to call on everyone join us. Finally, government should close down the factories that are putting waste into the river or giving out a lot of black smoke. Making laws is also a good way to prevent polluting.
The river is our mother river and we have the duty to take care of it for ourselves.
