第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题:每小题2分,满分30分)
A
Until
the
invention
of
the
steam
engine,
humans
traveled
the
earth
on
foot.
The
slow
travel
meant
that
explorers
frequently
returned
with
stories
about
distant
lands:
some
of
them
wild
tales,
some
honest
descriptions.
Barbara
Klion,
who
has
retired,
knows
what
that’s
like.
As
a
walker
who
has
toured
Australia,
Kenya
and
China
on
foot,
her
trips
are
the
modern
edition
of
an
ancient
tradition.
For
years,
Klion
and
her
husband,
now
75
and
80
years
old,
traveled
independently.
Walkers
know
that
seeing
the
world
on
foot
gives
them
a
rare
experience.
Often
travelers
are
attracted
by
local
people
and
customs.
They
also
get
a
beautiful
and
lasting
impression
of
the
scenery.
Walking
tours
can
be
done
in
one’s
backyard,
but
there
are
several
destinations
around
the
world
that
expose
travelers
to
the
best
of
nature
and
culture.
What
to
look
for
A
famous
guide
says
that
the
essentials
of
a
quality
walk
are
great
scenery,
tolerable1
weather,
suitable
level
of
difficulty
and
something
like
ecology,
history
or
culture.
These
may
seem
like
unclear
instructions,
but
the
fun
of
walking
tours
is
that
many
things
are
determined
by
the
traveler.
Someone
who
appreciates
hot
climates,
wildlife
and
flat
areas
could
choose
a
walking
tour
in
Zambia’s
South
Luangwa
National
Park.
Travelers
who
don’t
mind
the
cold
and
enjoy
adventure
could
hike
Patagonia,
an
area
of
southern
Argentina
east
of
the
Andes.
In
general,
independent
travelers
can
decide
how
far
to
go
each
day,
while
guests
of
a
tour
agency
should
expect
to
walk
an
average
of
four
to
eight
miles
a
day.
At
the
Fordland
National
Park,
for
example,
there
are
several
easy-to-difficult
hikes,
giving
travelers
many
choices.
21.Which
of
the
following
does
NOT
make
a
quality
walking
A.Great
scenery.
B.Tolerable
weather.
C.A
helpful
companion.
D.Suitable
level
of
difficulty.
22.According
to
the
passage,
compared
with
guests
of
a
tour
agency,
independent
travelers
.
A.can
walk
farther
B.have
more
choices
C.face
more
difficulties
D.spend
less
23.What’s
the
author’s
attitude
towards
walking
tours
A.Indifferent.
B.Negative.
C.Worried.
D.Supportive.
24.The
best
title
for
the
passage
might
be
“_________”.
A.See
the
World
on
Foot
B.Barbara
Klion,
a
Great
Traveler
C.What
to
Look
for
D.The
Fun
of
Walking
B
Sunshine
is
a
great
film,which
cakes
us
on
a
voyage
into
space
when
mankind
is
in
danger
In
2057,our
Sun
is
dying
and
mankind
faces
extinction.A
spaceship
named
Icarus
II,carries
an
enormous
bomb
to
return
life
to
the
dying
star.
As
the
movie
begins,the
spacecraft
is
approaching
the
Sun.Suddenly,the
operating
system
is
out
of
control;then
the
crew
receive
a
frightening
signal
from
the
original
Icarus
1
which
was
sent
to
carry
out
the
same
task
seven
years
ago.Should
the
crew
continue
flying
to
the
Sun
in
the
endangered
ship
The
question
is
not
so
much
about
whether
any
crew
member
can
survive——the
chances
of
that
hardly
exist
but
should
they
try
to
grab
the
other
bomb
in
Icarus
I
and
take
it
to
the
Sun
Two
shots(尝试)at
saving
mankind
are
obviously
better
than
one.
After
the
decision
is
made,a
crew
member
makes
a
mistake
that
places
the
mission
in
extreme
danger.More
accidents
Occur,and
the
crew
face
a
difficult
situation:there
isn’t
enough
oxygen
for
them
on
the
ship.
Among
the
most
exciting
scenes
is
a
space
walk
by
Capa
and
Kaneda
when
the
ship’s
shield(防护罩)is
damaged
and
must
be
inspected
and
repaired.
Then
when
decked
with(对接)Icarus
I,the
crew
find
it
will
be
difficult
for
them
to
achieve
the
goal
of
the
voyage.The
film
reaches
its
climax
when
the
computer
in
Icarus
I
detects
the
presence
of
an
unknown
crew
member.
Indeed,the
major
task
of
the
flight
is
to
take
back
the
world
by
restarting
the
failing
Sun.
However,Sunshine
also
makes
clear
the
psychological
and
physical
danger
of
space
travel.
25.The
purpose
of
the
spaceship
IcarusI
is
to__________.
A.help
the
crew
on
IcarusⅡ
B.save
the
Sun
from
dying
C.experience
possible
dangers
of
space
travel
D.take
people
on
a
voyage
into
space
26.Why
do
Capa
and
Kaneda
take
a
space
walk
A.They
want
to
appreciate
the
view
of
the
space.
B.They
have
to
fix
their
spaceship.
C.Theytryto
deckwithIcarusI.
D
They
planto
grabthebombinIcarusⅡ.
27.What’s
the
author’s
attitude
towards“Sunshine”’
A.Indifferent
B.Favorable.
C.Prejudiced.
D.Negative.
28.In
which
part
of
a
magazine
can
we
read
the
passage
A.Entertainment.
B.Science.
C.Medicine.
D.News.
C
When
people
ask
me
why
I’m
so
negative,
I
always
tell
them
I’m
simply
looking
out
for
my
best
interests
and
everyone
else’s.But
negativity
gets
a
bad
reputation.Everywhere
you
look,
someone’s
talking
about
the
power
of
positive
thinking.
  My
life
is
good
and
I
contribute
it
to
imagining
the
worse
and
then
being
pleasantly
surprised
when
the
worst
doesn’t
happen.Last
week,
I
read
about
a
report
out
of
the
Netherlands
suggesting
this
outlook
increases
my
chances
of
dying
from
heart
disease.
  This
news
might
have
moved
me
to
change
my
ways,
but
then
I
saw
an
article
about
some
new
data
from
Denmark.Over
the
last
three
decades,
Danes
have
been
shown
to
have
higher
rates
of
“life
satisfaction”
than
any
other
Western
country.Their
key
to
contentment
Low
expectations.
  As
the
article
explained,
Danes
know
they
don’t
come
from
the
largest,
blondest
or
most
temperate
nation
on
the
earth.They
don’t
expect
to
be
the
winners
of
any
game.So
when
good
things
happen,
they
are
that
much
happier.
  This
is
the
philosophy
I’ve
been
living
for
years.It’s
why
I
go
to
every
party
expecting
to
have
a
miserable
time
and
leave
for
every
vacation
thinking
it
will
rain.These
things
rarely
happen,
so
every
time
things
don’t
turn
out
so
bad,
I’m
relieved
and
joyful.That’s
the
power
of
negative
thinking.
  I
strongly
doubt
if
there
is
a
sense
of
contentment
being
too
positive,
especially
when
expectation
gets
confused
with
hope.Americans
seem
unable
to
separate
these
ideas.Our
entire
belief
is
wrapped
up
in
the
myth
of
turning
dreams
into
reality,
of
constantly
reaching
for
higher
goals,
of
never
settling.Obviously,
this
can-do
spirit
turned
us
into
the
most
powerful
nation
in
the
world.But
I’ve
always
thought
we
would
get
better
results
with
a
belief
like
“the
pursuit
of
contentment”.
  It
is
interesting
how
it
sounds
strange
that
people
often
hope
to
get
the
best,
while
making
preparations
for
the
worst”.But
that’s
the
problem
with
positive
thinking.Because
it
ignores
satisfaction,
which
is
really
desirable,
and
runs
after
high
expectations,
which
are
less
likely
to
be
achieved.So
let’s
stop
being
so
optimistic.
29.What
is
the
main
reason
why
Danes
have
higher
rates
of
“life
satisfaction”
A.Danes
live
a
rich
life.
B.
Danes
have
few
social
problems.
C.
Danes
are
very
optimistic.
D.
Danes
don’t
expect
too
much.
30.
What
does
“this
outlook”
in
the
2nd
paragraph
refer
to
A.
Positive
thinking.
B.
Negative
thinking
C.
Setting
a
high
goal.
D.
Imaging
a
bright
future.
31.
Where
does
the
writer
come
from
A.
The
Netherlands
B.
Denmark
C.
The
U.S.A.
D.
Japan
D
People
say
teenagers
are
no
good.
They
make
too
much
noise
in
shopping
malls;
they
drive
recklessly
up
and
down
America's
main
streets;
they
carry
chips
on
their
shoulders
as
big
as
the
Sears
Tower.
And
at
least
some
of
the
time
those
things
are
true.
But
we
shouldn't
forget
that
there
are
hard
moments
in
the
life
of
a
teenager
too.
I
watched
such
a
moment
not
long
ago
at
a
woman's
funeral.
I
didn't
expect
the
event
to
affect
me.
Through
much
of
the
ceremony,
in
fact,
I
remained
unmoved.
The
teenage
grandson
stepped
forward.
With
his
very
first
deep
breath,
every
heart
in
that
church
was
achingly
reminded
of
something
we
had
all
forgotten.
Softly
he
began:
"I
want
to
share
a
few
values
that
Nana
taught
me.
She
never
failed
to
see
light
in
any
situation.
When
our
family
dog
would
truly
attack
her,
what
would
Nana
say
'oh,
what
beautiful
barking
that
dog
has!'
That
was
Nana.
"
"She
was
a
strong
woman
who
often
lived
in
the
shadow
of
my
grandpa,
who
was
a
successful
businessman
in
this
city.
But
she
was
the
one
behind
the
scenes
who
provided
the
strength
and
support
for
my
grandpa's
career,"
he
said,
with
a
voice
now
trembling,
"That
was
Nana's
way."
Through
a
low
sob,
he
continued,
"Whenever
she
did
anything
worth
recognition,
you'd
have
to
hear
about
it
from
a
different
source,
because
she
was
never
one
to
show
off."
Finally,
in
a
voice
breaking
free
of
sorrow,
he
looked
up
and
said,
"Nana
taught
me
courage.
She
put
up
an
incredible
fight
to
the
end,
when
she
died
peacefully,
which
is
how
she
lived
her
life.
That
was
Nana's
way,
and
I
hope
I
can
carry
on
in
the
same
manner."
There
are
no
hearts
as
sensitive
as
those
of
teenagers,
because
everything
is
happening
to
them
for
the
first
time.
The
trouble
with
teenagers
is
that
they
haven't
learned
to
be
controlled.
When
that
boy
rose
to
speak
about
the
woman
who
surely
had
been
his
truest
and
best
friend,
his
honest
voice
dragged
each
of
us
out
into
the
open
where
we
could
no
longer
hide
in
the
calm
ceremony.
He
exposed
us
to
the
truth
about
this
very
real
woman
who
believed
in
a
boy
who
probably
tried
the
patience
of
many
adults.
He
reminded
us
that
his
grandmother
was
more
than
another
dot
on
the
chart
of
life
and
death.
All
over
again
we
felt
those
powerful
losses
crossing
our
own
hearts,
and
we
knew
that
when
you
say
good-bye
to
something
happy,
something
young
in
yourself.
And
that
something
never
really
returns,
and
the
pain
never
really
goes
away.

We
are
all
called
upon
to
make
a
speech
at
some
point
in
life,
but
most
of
us
don’t
do
a
very
good
job._36_.
So,
you
have
to
give
a
speech—and
you
are
terrified.
You
get
nervous,
you
forget
what
you
want
to
say,
you
stumble(结结巴巴)
over
words,
you
talk
too
long,
and
you
bore
your
audience.
Later
you
think,
“Thank
Goodness,
it’s
over.
I’m
just
not
good
at
public
speaking.
I
hope
I
never
have
to
do
that
again.”
Cheep
up!_37_.
Here
are
some
simple
steps
to
take
the
pain
out
of
speech
making.
Ask
yourself
the
purpose
of
your
speech.
What
is
the
occasion
Why
are
you
speaking
Then,
gather
as
many
facts
as
you
can
on
your
subject.
Spend
plenty
of
your
time
doing

Easter
was
always
my
favorite
holiday.
Three
years
ago,
Easter
Sunday,
as
usual,

with
giving
our
seventeen-year-old
son
his

in
the
morning
and
seeing

We
then
went

had
our

But
that

the

I

my

He

I
never

But
when
asked
to

my
seventeen-year-old

my

Finally,
I
was

Parents
Should
Be
Responsible
For
Children's
Behaviors
The
passage
mainly
tells
us
that
parents
play
an
important
part
in
children's
growth,
suggesting
that
no
matter
how
busy
parents
are,
they
should
spend
more
time
staying
with
their
children
and
give
proper
instructions.
We
know
it
is
important
for
children
to
develop
good
habits.
So
it
is
disappointing
and
sad
to
see
same
children
around
us
showing
bad
habits.
As
far
as
I
am
concerned,
:parents
should
be
responsible
for
helping
children
developing
good
habits.
The
reasons
are
as
follows:
first,
it
is
commonly
held
that
parents
are
the
first
teacher
of
their
children.
The
children
adopt
many
ways
and
thoughts
of
their
parents
as
they
are
growing.
Second,
parents'
duties
include
not
only
providing
food
and
clothing,
but
also
knowledge
and
common
sense
required
to
go
on
well
in
society.
Therefore,
I
hope
parents
can
spend
more
time
staying
with
their
children,
giving
proper
guidance
to
their
children.
Meanwhile,
parents
should
mind
their
words
and
acts,
setting
a
good
example
for
their
children.
