bear v.
(1) 忍受,忍耐

2). Bear in mind that some children will need help.
3). My leg was painful, and I wasn’t sure whether it would bear my weight. bear 的同义词(组)有 tolerate, endure, stand, put up with,多用于否定句中。
bear 强调忍受者对痛苦、忧虑以及责任的承受力;stand 强调不屈不挠或经受得起;tolerate指忍受某人或某种行为而不反抗,可用于肯定句。endure指经受长期的艰难、困苦或折磨二不屈服;put up with的用法同tolerate。5. Snakes come near the house now and then, and they seem to have made their home here.
