rather than后接不定式时, 不定式可以带to, 也可以不带to。但rather than位于句首时, 则只能接不带to的不定式。

a large quantity of和large quantities of 既可修饰可数名词,也可修饰不可数名词。
“a (large) quantity of + 不可数名词”作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
