2025年河南省中考英语模拟试卷
一、阅读五选五:本大题共5小题,共10分。
Making a nature documentary (纪录片) is truly an amazing way to learn about and care for wild animals. (1)
First, you need to decide what your film will be about.Take your time to think. (2) Notice the little details.Maybe you often hear the singing of certain birds in the morning. It's much better to pick something that's easy for you to watch regularly.
Next,do some in-depth research. You can look online or in books to find out more about the animals you've chosen.Try to find interesting facts, like how they build their nests or how they communicate. (3)
(4) You don't need an expensive camera.Your phone will work just fine.Make sure to stay a bit far from the animals so you don't scare them away. You can start your film by introducing yourself and telling the audience why you picked this particular animal, perhaps sharing a personal story about your first meeting with it.
Finally, when your film is done, you can show it to your family and friends. You can also upload (上传) it to the Internet. (5) It's a fun and easy way to share your love for nature and maybe even inspire others to protect these wonderful creatures!

A week ago,my mom took me shopping for a new schoolbag. While we were at the store,I saw some cool trousers with a small rabbit on the pocket. "Look,Mom!I love these!" I said excitedly.
My mom smiled and said, "Yes,they're lovely, but the price is way too high.Sorry,Arizona,we can't afford them."
Then I found another pair of trousers with a big yellow tag (标签) that said "Slightly Damaged." (轻微破损) I pointed to them and said, "What about these?"
My mom thought for a moment. "We could fix that small hole in the knee. And they're half the price!" she said.I tried them on,and they fit perfectly. After we fixed the hole, you couldn't even tell it had been there.
The next day at school,I was in the lunch line when a girl who hardly knew me pointed at my trousers and said loudly, "Look!Arizona is slightly damaged!" Her friends started laughing and saying mean things like, "Someone better return her!"
I looked down and saw the big yellow tag hanging from my pocket.I felt so upset.I wanted to cry or shout at the girl, but I took a deep breath and tried to stay calm.I decided to laugh it off and act like it wasn't a big deal.As soon as I got my food,I walked over to my friend Mareya and sat with her, pretending (假装) nothing had happened.
I was nervous about the next day,but I paid no attention to the few mean words, and by the end of the week, everything was back to normal.
The experience actually had a good side.It has made me learn more about other kids being laughed at and how important it is to stand by them rather than laughing along with the group.

More and more people around the world are having trouble seeing things far away. This problem is called nearsightedness or myopia (近视).In 1971,only about one in four Americans had this eye problem. Now,almost half of Americans need glasses to see far away.By the year 2050,doctors think half of all people in the world might have this problem! Why is this happening? Many people think it's because we use phones and computers too much. But eye doctors have found something surprising. The biggest reason might be that we don't spend enough time outside in the sunlight.
When we go outside, natural sunlight helps our eyes grow in a healthy way.The sun makes our body create something called dopamine, which helps our eyeballs grow the right shape. If our eyes don't get enough natural light when we are young, they might grow too long, making it hard to see far away.
A big study in 2017 showed that children who spend more time outside have better eyesight. The light inside our homes and schools is not strong enough to help our eyes like sunlight does.Eye doctors say children should try to be outside for at least two hours every day.
Using screens (屏幕) is still part of the problem too. When we look at bright screens in dark rooms,it might be too much for our eyes. The strong difference between light and dark can make children's eyes grow in an unhealthy way.
So what can we do?The answer is simple:spend more time playing and walking outside!Your eyes will thank you,and you might not need glasses when you grow up.

33.What's eye doctors' new finding? ______

C. Using screens too much is the only cause of myopia.
D. Reading books indoors is the main reason for myopia.
34.What does dopamine do for our eyes? ______
A. It protects the eyes from strong screen light.
B. It helps our eyes grow in the correct shape.
C. It makes our eyes get used to seeing in the dark.
D. It helps people focus on things far away.
35.What can we learn from Paragraphs 4 and 5? ______
A. Indoor lighting is just as good as natural sunlight for eye health.

39.【答案】 Teenage obesity has become a serious problem around the world, including in China. In my opinion, both schools and parents should share the responsibility to help teenagers stay healthy.
Firstly, schools play a key role in shaping students' habits. They can provide nutritious meals in cafeterias and organize daily physical activities like sports classes or morning exercises. For example, reducing sugary drinks at school and encouraging students to join team sports can effectively prevent weight gain.Secondly, parents are the primary influencers of children's lifestyles. They control family meals and can set examples by cooking balanced diets at home.If parents limit screen time and plan outdoor activities, teenagers are more likely to develop healthy routines.
In conclusion, schools and families need to work together.Schools offer structured health education, while parents create supportive home environments.Only through cooperation can we truly fight teenage obesity.
