Healtheare organizations face big problems:costs are rising, but income is growing slowly.Cloud technology
offers a solution by replacing outdated systems, improving efficiency.and enhancing care.Key benefits include
helping doctors make better decisions by giving them faster access to patient information, lowering costs by making
operations run smoother-which is crucial when government payments are low-and providing stronger security
to protect patient data.As Dr.Michelle Flemmings from Oracle notes, older computer systems often made work
harder with repetitive tasks, while the cloud makes accessing data easier and reduces doctors'workload.
Adding AI makes the cloud even more powerful.Al acts like a smart helper for doctors.Flemmings compares
it to having a top medical expert by your side.AI helps assess patient risks, suggests best practices, and finds vital
information in health records instantly. This teamwork speeds up tasks, like finding patients who qualify for clinical
trials during regular visits-opportunities often missed before.Aiso,Al-powered patient websites offer
personalized services like online booking.meeting the high demand for digital options.
Cloud uses are growing fast:reducing missed appointments, automating complex data analysis, spotting
security risks, and simplifying administration tasks. However, moving to the cloud has challenges, mainly cost and
security worries.Flemmings advises starting small with pilot projects to fix specific problems, especially for
smaller hospitals.Importantly, cloud security is often better than old systems, with AI boosting threat detection. As
Amar Nagaram from IU Health highlights, the cloud simplifies tech systems and improves teamwork.
Ultimately, the cloud is changing healthcare's future. It cuts costs and tech burdens while speeding up
innovation.Secure cloud tools let patients access care remotely.beyond the clinic.Nagaram states that without
cloud tech,healthcare groups can't compete.While moving needs careful planning.progress is happening.For
example,IU Health uses Al to prioritize urgent patient help requests.Cloud technology is building a foundation for
healthcare focused on patients, quality, and constant innovation.

As is shown in the survey conducted by our school’s English newspaper, the usage of
snap-for-answers applications is on the rise among high school students, with 40% of freshmen,
60% of sophomores, and 80% of seniors using them.
This trend can be attributed to the increasing academic pressure and the convenience offered
by these apps. Additionally, some students may lack the necessary study support, leading them to
rely on these tools.
In my view, while they can be helpful for quick reference, overreliance on them may
discourage deep learning and critical thinking skills. Therefore, we should use these tools wisely,
balancing their benefits with the need for independent study.
读后续写 (满分 25 分)
Dad looked quickly and smiled, “Yes, it is not here!” “But who would like to buy that silly
dress, which is neither practical nor cheap ” Mom marveled, but meanwhile both father and I
could discern an inexplicable but conspicuous disappointment crept over her face. “Some
romantic, reserved loving man might buy that for their wife.” Father winked slyly at mom and me
from the rear mirror as if he were the secretive devoting husband he depicted.
I will never forget that Christmas morning when father handed mother a box. “Ta da, the
most silly gift for my princess!” father exclaimed, eyeing at his wife in a loving and expectant
way. Mother, too stunned to speak, received the box with her trembling hands. Her palms
6
sweating, throat tightening, mother’s hand slided through the red satin and lingered at the
twinkling stars. “Oh, Tom, you shouldn’t have been that extravagant.” “No, baby, you deserve the
highest honor and my passionate love on this Special Christmas.”

W: Mike, I’m going camping with some friends tomorrow. What about joining us
M: Sorry, Susan, but I already have plans.
W: What will you do tomorrow
M: I’ll go to the Food Forest at Padre Park. There’s a free weekend event about crops. It allows
participants to learn about their food system, their ecosystem, culture and history.
W: It seems boring to me.
M: I don’t think so. I love biology. I think it’s a great opportunity for me to learn about nature.
W: Will you spend the whole day there
M: No. The event will begin at 8:00 am and last for only three hours.

W: David, do you have any plans for the summer vacation
M: I’m going hiking in Lapland, Finland. Every July I spend a week there and go hiking with
some friends or my family.
W: There must be some great hiking trails.
M: Yes. And one of them has become my favorite. It starts from a village and goes to the highest
point in Finland, which is the Halti mountain in Lapland.
W: How many times have you visited the trail
M: Twice, the first time with a friend, and the other with my parents and my sister.
W: Can you tell me about your hiking for the first time
M: Sure. The hike took us six days to complete. We slept either in our tent or in a cabin located by
10
the hiking trail.
W: When did you reach the top of Halti
M: On the fourth day. We were lucky that day because we could see far into the wilderness of
Finland and Norway. So do you love hiking
W: Yes, but I have to prepare for my exams for going abroad. I do expect to hike it with you next
summer.
M: I really look forward to it.

W: Harrison, now that you love writing stories, why don’t you take part in the Betty Award It has
both a spring and fall contest.
M: What’s the requirement for the contest
W: The contestants have to submit an unpublished story not more than 1,000 words. The entry fee
for this contest is $15. Oh, it just came to my mind that you cannot go to it. It’s only open to
children between 8 to 12 years old.
M: What a pity!
W: But you can try Willy Con Science Fiction Competition. Your science fiction stories
mentioned by Mr. Black in class just now are really great.
M: Thank you, Cathy. I love writing such stories.
W: Good. You can submit a science fiction story within 5,000 words to it or submit poems which
are also judged in the competition.
M: I don’t write poems. Are you sure I can take part in this one
W: Yes. The contest is categorized into four levels. These are Adult, High School, Middle School,
and Elementary.
M: I’m qualified for the second category.
W: Have you decided on which story to submit
M: Yes. I’d like you to read it first. I’ll bring it to you tomorrow morning. You can read it before
our first class begins.
W: Alright.

M: Good morning, everyone. In my class presentation today, I’d like to talk about my role model
Noah Raven. During a family vacation to a rainforest in Mexico, 12-year-old Noah saw thousands
of monarch butterflies. He really loved the sight. However, when he was talking to a biologist who
was doing research there, he learned that the butterflies were at great risk of disappearing. He
became very concerned and decided to take action. After Noah returned home with his family, he
had a talk with his parents. He told them he wanted to help monarch butterflies. His parents
11
weren’t surprised. They knew their son cares about wildlife. They told Noah they’d be there for
him. With his parents’ help, the boy created Monarch Defenders. It’s an organization that aims to
protect monarch butterflies. It tries to raise awareness about issues impacting the species, such as
loss of habitat, pollution and climate change. On his website, Noah encourages others to take
small, actionable steps — for example, planting a monarch butterfly habitat in their yard. I hope
that we all can follow Noah’s lead and make an effort to save this species.
