My English learning journey has ups and downs. Last year, I faced two big problems: my listening was poor, and I was too shy to speak in class. I often couldn't understand the teacher and hid behind my textbook.
To solve these problems, I tried different ways. I listened to English tapes every morning and took notes of key words. I also joined the school English club—talking with classmates made me more confident. I stopped being afraid of mistakes, because I realized mistakes help me learn.
Now my English has improved a lot. From this experience, I learned that interest and practice are the keys to success. As long as I keep trying, I will become a better learner.
