单元教材分析
本单元主题属于“人与社会”范畴,涉及“中外影视、音乐等艺术形式中的文化价值和作品赏析,优秀的艺术家及其艺术成就”。Section A要求学生掌握与音乐和电影相关的词汇,能够通过听和读获取有关音乐和电影的相关信息,了解以that,which,who引导的定语从句在不同语境中的功能和作用,并能用英语表达自己喜欢的音乐和电影,同时还帮助学生复习已经学过的有关音乐和电影方面的词汇以及表示喜好等的描述性词汇。Section B在Section A的基础上进一步拓展话题,让学生能够运用所学结构谈论其他喜好,阅读部分还涉及到中国的民间音乐及音乐家,也增添了与音乐相关的词汇和表达句式。这部分的重点是运用略读和精读的阅读策略对文本进行解读,了解音乐评价类文章的特点。这部分的难点是运用具体信息描写事物。

Step 2 Work on 1a-1c
Work on 1a. Get the students to look at the picture in 1a and circle the sentences they agree with. Then write their own sentences. Get them pay attention to the structure of “I like music that…”.
Work on 1b. Play the recording for the students to listen to and complete 1b. Play it again if necessary, then check the answers together.
Work on 1c. The teacher asks two students to read the conversation in 1c to the class. Then ask them to do the pair work to make other conversations. After that, some pairs should be asked to present their conversations to the class.
Step 3 Listening 2a-2b
Work on 2a. Ask the students to read the sentences in 2a.
Make sure they can understand the meaning of each sentence.
Then ask the students to listen and circle T for true and F for false in 2a. Play the recording twice or three times if necessary, then check the answers.
Work on 2b. Let the students read the sentences in 2b individually. Then ask the students to listen to the tape of 2b and complete the sentences. They should be given enough time to complete it.
Step 4 Pair work
Ask students to make conversations in pairs, using the information in 2a and 2b.
Step 5 Role-play the conversation in 2d
1.Let the students read the conversation individually and answer the questions:

2.Play the recording and get students to listen and repeat, and then role play the conversation.
