It is adj. for/of sb. to do sth.
若是指人的特点、品性的形容词(如stupid/clever/brave/strong/weak等)则用of,其余形容词(如dangerous/easy/convenient等)一般选用for。
It is brave of him to save the little boy from the water.
②It is dangerous for such an old man to cross the road alone.
Whether he will come hasn’t been decided.
It hasn’t been decided whether he will come.
I want to stress something. Those who are late will not be allowed to listen to the lecture.
What I want to stress is that those who are late will not be allowed to listen to the lecture.

1. Linda just graduated from college this year, and she was going for a job interview. __________

Ali and his younger sister, Zahra, lived with their parents in a poor neighborhood. Their mother was very sick and their father was struggling to find a job, and they had only a little money with which to buy food. As they had not paid the rent for several months, the landlord was breathing down their necks.
One day, Ali took Zahra’s shoes to a shoe repairman to be fixed, but he lost them on the way home. It wasn’t until he got home that he realized he had lost the shoes. He was afraid that his parents would be angry and disappointed, so he begged his sister to keep it secret. Zahra agreed and the two decided to share Ali’s running shoes. Zahra’s school hours were in the morning, so she would wear them first. After school, she would rush back and give them to Ali.He could then run to his school, which began in the afternoon. Although he ran as fast as he could, Ali often arrived late and was warned by the school.
Ali heard about a long distance race that was held for the boys in the city. When he learned that the third prize was a new pair of shoes, he decided to take part. He ran home excitedly and promised his sister that he would win her the new shoes.
The day of race arrived. Ali had a strong start, but halfway through the race he began to get tired and his legs began to ache. Getting more and more exhausted he thought only of Zahra and his promise to her. Dreaming of the new shoes he would win for his sister gave him strength, and he stayed right behind the two fastest runners, determined to finish third. Suddenly, as the finish line drew near, another runner collided (碰撞)with Ali from behind and he crashed to the ground.
注意:
1. 续写词数应为150左右;
Ali looked up and saw the other boys rushing ahead.
Filled with delight, Ali walked home quickly.
①Ali和Zahra是兄妹;
②他们家境贫寒;
③Ali把Zahra的鞋弄丢了;
④俩人决定不告诉父母,共穿一双鞋;
⑤偶然间知道有长跑比赛,三等奖的奖品是一双鞋;
⑥Ali参赛,想赢得那双鞋;
his promise to his sister echoed in his mind; not wanting to disappoint his sister; spared no effort; overtook the runner in front; dashed across the finish line
Ali tried his best, but failed; upset; winner; apologized for hurting him; know about the story; deeply moved; gave the prize to Ali; grateful
ran as fast as he could; won the fourth prize; couldn’t help sobbing; announcement; disqualified; broke the rule; got the prize; overjoyed
couldn’t wait to see; share the thrilling news; waiting; took out; shoes; lit up
Ali looked up and saw the other boys rushing ahead. Refusing to give up at this point, he jumped to his feet and ran as fast as he could. He dashed across the finish line and won the fourth prize. Thinking he would let her sister down, Ali couldn’t help sobbing. Just then he suddenly heard the announcement from the broadcast that he won the third prize as the runner who collided with Ali was disqualified for breaking the rule. Holding the shoes close to his chest during the award ceremony, Ali felt overjoyed and relieved as he eventually won the shoes for his sister.
Filled with delight, Ali walked home quickly. He could not wait to see his sister and share the thrilling news. On his arrival, Ali found Zahra was waiting outside. She was really nervous whether her brother had brought her what she was expecting. “Zahra, see what I have got for you.” He took the prize out of his bag with his trembling hands. The instant Zahra saw the shoes, her face lit up. So thrilled was she that she threw herself at Ali. “Thank you! Ali.” Tears of joy welled up their eyes as the brother and sister hugged tightly together.

I have been in the teaching profession for more than thirty years, and one of the best teachers I have ever known was Mr. Rowe. I was lucky enough to co-teach the fourth grade with him. Mr. Rowe had infinite patience and understanding and I learned so much from watching him. He could perform miracles, like the one he performed with Steven, one of the unhappiest kids I ever saw. Steven couldn’t stand school. He didn’t like being picked last for kickball. He didn’t like the kids who raised their hands and knew all the answers, and most importantly, he didn’t like himself.
The first day he walked into Mr. Rowe’s classroom, he ignored the other students, looking angry and annoyed, and slid into his chair, knocking a couple of textbooks onto the floor. Mr. Rowe walked over to him and touched Steven’s shoulder, but Steven pulled away. Nevertheless, Mr. Rowe welcomed him: “Hi,Steven. I’m happy you are in my class. We are going to have a great year. Steven looked around the room as if Mr. Rowe must be mistaken. No teacher in his right mind would want Steven to be part of his classroom. So, while Mr. Rowe seemed cheerful and relaxed that day of school, it seemed like Steven was angry and confused.
That day after classes, Mr. Rowe chose Steven to pitch the kickball at recess. “Hey, Steven,” Mr. Rowe commented, “You are good at pitch things. Let me show you my secret trick.” Mr. Rowe taught Steven one of the tricks that not a single kid could perform. Steven learned fast and did quite well! Everyone cheered for him.
After the kickball, Steven sat as closer to Mr. Rowe in classes as he could. When a question was asked, Steven lit up;he knew the answer! He raised his hands. When he answered the question, his voice shook. However, he got the answer right! He said, with Mr. Rowe, his days of fourth promised wonderful.
That is not to say that every day went smoothly, but it was evident that Steven grew to love Mr. Rowe more and more with each passing day.

Dear Jim,
I understand that sharing moments on WeChat Moments is a way to record life and connect with others. It’s nice to see your colorful summer life through your posts.
However, oversharing can bring some problems. First, it may expose your personal information, which could lead to privacy risks. Besides, too many posts might make others feel annoyed, affecting your relationships.
I suggest you share selectively. You can focus on meaningful events and spend more time enjoying real-life activities, like reading or traveling.
Looking forward to your wonderful changes.
Yours,
Li Hua
Time passed quickly that year, and before we all knew it, it was the last day of school. Steven walked to Mr. Rowe with a crumpled drawing in his hand. It showed a boy and a teacher playing kickball, with "Thank You" written in bright colors. His eyes were wet as he said, "I’ll never forget how you made me feel like I belong." Mr. Rowe hugged him gently, saying, "You’ve always been amazing, Steven. Keep shining." The classroom was quiet, filled with warm smiles and soft goodbyes.
Many years later, Mr. Rowe and I were surprised to see a young man at our school door. He introduced himself as Steven—tall, confident, and carrying a teaching certificate. "I’m here to be a teacher, just like you," he told Mr. Rowe. "You taught me that a teacher can change a life, and I want to do the same for kids who feel lost." Mr. Rowe’s eyes lit up, and I knew we’d witnessed the most beautiful miracle of all.
