Parents are important in shaping their children’s lives. They make decisions and plans for their children. But I think teenagers over the age of 15 should be allowed to make their own decisions.
To begin with, teenagers over 15 have the ability to make independent decisions. With the rapid development of IT, today’s teenagers have a better understanding of the pared with their parents, they are knowledgeable at an early age. So they can make independent decisions.
Making decisions helps teenagers feel confident. When teenagers are allowed to make decisions, they feel more confident in their ability to deal with problems. This can help them develop a stronger feeling of control over their lives.
By making decisions, teenagers learn to be independent. If parents make decisions for their children all the time, they will never learn to be responsible for themselves. They will just depend on their parents for every choice in their lives, no matter how big or small it is.
When teenagers are allowed to make decisions, they may make mistakes. But it doesn’t matter. That’s because they can learn from their mistakes and will do better next time. During the process, teenagers can develop critical(批判性的) thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
Allowing teenagers to make decisions can improve relationships between children and parents. By giving children respect, parents can show that they trust their children to make good choices. With trust and respect, children will have more communication with their parents.
All in all, teenagers over 15 should be given the chance to make decisions. They have the ability to do so and that is good for them and even their parents.

What does a true family mean 8 From here, we can get warmth, we can get consolation (安慰), and we can get happiness. And one important thing is that we will become stronger and more confident in the outside world because we know that we have a true family.
9 I think that parents should sit down to talk with their children to let them know that they have a happy family, so the children and their parents can understand each other better and better.
10 That’s what we really need from our parents.
A. We should remember our parents have more experience than us.B. In fact, we are probably 15 or 16 years old.C. Then, parents will not treat their children as little ones.D. Water is important in our life, but sometimes water can be dangerous for kids. So we must pay attention to the kids’ safety in water. Water safety begins at home or in the pool. Here are some suggestions for you.
Be careful of the hot water. Hot water can be dangerous, especially for kids under five. These young kids have thinner skin than older kids and adults, so it’s easier for them to be burnt. Staying in hot water that’s 60℃ for just 3 seconds can give a child a third-degree burn. You can reduce the risk by testing the water with your wrist(腕)or elbow before placing your kid in bath.
Watch out for danger in the bathroom. The bathroom is full of danger for young kids. Never leave a young child alone in the bathroom, especially while he or she is bathing. Remember to put away hair dryers and all other electrical appliances to avoid the risk.
Never let kids swim alone. Swimming in the water may make you feel great. As the kids move in the water, many small muscle(肌肉)groups are working to help them keep balance. But it’s not a perfect sport because of the risk of hurt. For example, many types of swimming need repeated arm movements. Over time, the movements can cause shoulder and neck injuries. So it’s dangerous when they stay in the water alone, they may even drown. So the kids are supposed to swim with their parents’ company.
