There are people all around the world doing this. It can also build closer connections in a community and help build those social connections. You get to know your neighbors. You get to feel some social duty when you do this.
Along with cleaning up the environment, there may be another reason to choose plogging instead of jogging. You may get a better physical exercise. One fitness app, Lifesum, records one hour of plogging as burning 288 calories (卡路里). And usual jogging burns about 235 calories.

Xiaomi used this supply chain to its advantage. Its cars contain batteries from BYD and CATL. It was able to quickly start production by taking over a factory from Beijing Auto Group. Construction workers in Beijing are working around the clock on a second factory.
All this manufacturing capacity helps Chinese electric vehicle firms move from development to production in far less time than traditional automakers in China, enabling them to bring new models to market quickly and focus on making software that they can continually update, said Stephen W. Dyer, head of Asia Automotive at AlixPartners, a consultancy.
Intense (激烈的) competition at home has pushed many Chinese carmakers to flood the global auto market with affordable electric cars. Last year, BYD sold more than four million new cars worldwide.
It is just a matter of time before Xiaomi cars are on the road outside China, said Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association.
Xiaomi’s popularity as a maker of all kinds of consumer electronics gave it a deep well of knowledge about Chinese consumer preferences (偏好). On the first day SU7s were delivered, buyers could go to Xiaomi’s app store and get accessories (配件) to trick out the cars, like analog dashboard clocks and a row of physical switches that attach to a touch screen panel.
“The strength of the brand puts Xiaomi ahead of a lot of their competitors,” said Tu Le, a managing director of the consultancy Sino Auto Insights. “That’s what it takes to sell cars globally, because it’s not just a consumer product, it’s an emotional product.”
12. What advantage did Xiaomi have in starting car production quickly
A. It had its own factory. B. It took over a factory from Beijing Auto Group.
C. It built a new factory in Beijing. D. It partnered with BYD and CATL.
13. What can we learn from Stephen W. Dyer’s words
A. Chinese EV firms focus only on software.
B Chinese EV produce cars slower than traditional automakers.
C. Chinese EV bring new models to market faster.
D. Chinese EV are not competitive globally.
14. What does paragraph 5 mainly talk about
A. SU7 had many buyers on delivery day.
B. Consumers prefer Xiaomi’s products.
C. Xiaomi’s app sells car accessories.
D. Xiaomi’s electronics experience meets needs.
15. What is the main purpose of the passage
A. To introduce Xiaomi’s entry into the car market.
B. To compare Chinese and traditional automakers.
C. To discuss the future of electric vehicles.
D. To analyze the global car market trends.

第二节 (满分25分)
47. 阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
It was the first day at my new school, and I couldn’t shake the nervous feeling that stayed with me as I walked through the halls. The classrooms were larger, the faces were unfamiliar, and everything felt foreign. When I finally reached my seat, I noticed that the students behind me kept giggling (咯咯笑) and whispering. A wave of discomfort washed over me, and I naturally thought the worst — that they were making fun of me.
I tried my best to brush them off, but my curiosity got the better of me. I turned around, and sitting directly behind me was a boy I didn’t know. His name, I later learned, was Sameer. His face was unreadable, but I thought he was the one making fun of me, though I couldn’t be sure. I looked around the classroom but didn’t talk to anyone. I felt like an outsider, alone in a sea of strangers.
Days went by, and I kept to myself, watching from the sidelines as friendships formed around me. My misunderstanding about Sameer grew into a quiet hate. Every time I saw him, I couldn’t help but recall those whispers and laughs from the first day, which made me keep my distance.
Then one afternoon, after the final bell rang, I headed to the bicycle stand to go home. To my disappointment, I found my bicycle’s tire (轮胎) completely flat (瘪了) . I had spent my money during the break, and there wasn’t a single rupee left in my pocket to fix the tire or take the bus. I stood there helplessly.
Just then, I noticed someone approaching out of the corner of my eye. It was Sameer. My first reaction was defensive, thinking he would laugh at me. But to my surprise, he offered me a warm smile. “Hey, what’s wrong ” he asked. I hesitated, but the sincerity in his voice encouraged me to share my problem.
注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“My bike’s tire is flat, and I don’t have any money with me, ” I said.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
After we became friends, I mentioned the awkward first day, and Sameer said that it wasn’t him.

Today, plogging is an official activity, which is becoming more and more popular. People of all ages are welcome to plog and have a good time. Exercise while helping your community.
Now, cities around the world hold plogging events. The goal is to spread the idea that littering is not acceptable. People would think twice before dropping garbage on the ground.

【答案】例文
Dear worried,
Learning that you’re feeling anxious and losing your temper due to high school pressures, I completely understand what you’re going through and want to offer some advice.
Firstly, talk to someone you trust about how you feel, which is a good way of letting your anxiety and anger out without hurting others or yourself. Secondly, go outdoors and play team games with your friends as physical exercise is an effective way to get rid of negative emotions. Finally, keep in mind that you should always concentrate yourself on some positive and relaxing things when you feel fed up with academic stress, since it can be helpful in lifting your spirits and gathering up your courage to face those difficulties again.
I hope what I say will be a comfort to you and help you out.
Yours,
Jessica

注意:1. 续写词数应为150个左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
“My bike’s tire is flat, and I don’t have any money with me, ” I said.

After we became friends, I mentioned the awkward first day, and Sameer said that it wasn’t him.

【答案】范文参考一:
“My bike’s tire is flat, and I don’t have any money with me,” I said. Without hesitation, Sameer took out a wallet and handed me some cash. “Here, use this to fix your tire or take a bus. Pay me back whenever you can,” he said warmly. I was shocked by his kindness, as the boy I had resented was now helping me. I thanked him and promised to return the money the next day. This act broke the ice between us.
After we became friends, I mentioned the awkward first day, and Sameer said that it wasn’t him. “The students behind me were talking about a funny video, not you. I didn’t realize it made you uncomfortable,” he explained. I apologized sincerely for misjudging him. If Sameer hadn’t helped me that day, I might have never known the truth. This experience taught me not to jump to conclusions and to appreciate the kindness in others.
范文参考二:
“My bike’s tire is flat, and I don’t have any money with me,” I said. Without a moment’s hesitation, Sameer handed thirty yuan to me. I was taken aback by his kindness. “You can pay me back whenever,” he said, as if helping me was the most natural thing in the world. I promised him I’d return the money the next day. That simple act changed everything. The boy I had disliked turned out to be the first person to offer me help when I needed it the most. From that day forward, we became good friends.
After we became friends, I mentioned the awkward first day, and Sameer said that it wasn’t him. “The kids sitting behind me were the ones fooling around, but I didn’t know it made you feel uncomfortable,” he added. After hearing his words, I realized that he had been misunderstood all this time. I said “sorry” to him sincerely. If Sameer hadn’t approached me that day at the bicycle stand, I might have held on to that false belief. I appreciate that he taught me the value of not jumping to conclusions and the importance of kindness.
