Recently, the desire to explore space has ignited fierce debate on whether it is a vital endeavor or a misallocation of precious resources. Opinions vary from person to person.
Some critics figure that space programs, representing excessive consumption with questionable returns, is unnecessary. It is argued that the billions spent on rockets could dramatically alleviate suffering on Earth like poverty, hunger, or universal healthcare. Launch failures further underscore the inherent dangers, suggesting such ventures are an irresponsible gamble. Conversely, numerous advocates champion space exploration as an irreplaceable catalyst for progress. The space missions push the boundaries of science and engineering, yielding advanced technologies that benefit society directly. More profoundly, exploring space satisfies human fundamental curiosity and safeguards our long-term survival by seeking the habitable world .
From my perspective, I’m inclined to applaud for space exploration. While the earthly challenges cannot be ignored, abandoning the stars in space would do harm to human ingenuity and foresight, not conductive to a thriving future.
1. 电子词典的优点;
2. 电子词典的缺点;
In recent years, students have increasingly turned to electronic dictionaries, which offer both convenience and potential drawbacks. This trend has sparked heated debate, particularly in educational contexts.
These devices offer great convenience. Students can look up words instantly, saving time compared to paper dictionaries. Their pronunciation functions also help learners master correct intonation, which is vital for language study. Moreover, as prices drop, more students can access them, bridging educational gaps. However, drawbacks exist. Overreliance weakens memory and independent thinking; some students even use them in exams, which undermines learning integrity. Additionally, occasional inaccurate explanations may mislead users, especially beginners.
In conclusion, electronic dictionaries are neutral tools. Reasonable usage turns them into allies for efficient study, while abuse risks academic laziness. The choice lies in our hands.

Dear Editor,
Since the beginning of this term, the Senior Three Students of our school have had four exams every week. They have recently had a discussion about whether these exams are necessary or not.
Opinions are divided on the question.70% of the students are against this arrangement. They think that they have too many exams. These exams occupy lots of lecture time which should be devoted to learning new lessons. Besides, the students have to stay up late preparing for the exams. So tired do they feel that they often fall asleep in the classroom. They suggest that they have exams monthly instead of weekly. On the other hand, 30% of the students think that in order to be well prepared for the college entrance exams, the Senior Three students ought to be examined often enough. In addition, they serve as a pressure forcing students to work hard. So they hold the view that the weekly exams shouldn’t be done away with.
I believe this discussion is important, and hope our teachers can also enter into it so as to help our principal make a correct decision.
Yours truly,
Zhuang Qi

Key:
On the positive side, commercialization boosts local economies through festive sales and tourism. Businesses create special holiday products, like mooncake gift boxes for Mid-Autumn Festival, making traditions more accessible to urban youth.
Additionally, digital innovations such as virtual red envelopes have added convenience to age-old customs.
However, excessive commercialization risks stripping festivals of their original meaning.
Some festivals have even become mere shopping opportunities, as seen in Double Eleven's transformation from Singles' Day to a consumerist carnival.
From where I stand, commercialization isn't inherently harmful, but requires balance. We should preserve core cultural values while embracing appropriate modern adaptations.
Only by respecting tradition's essence can commercialization truly benefit cultural preservation.
Electronic red packets enable instant money transfers across distances, particularly benefiting overseas Chinese.
However, critics argue that virtual practices lack the warmth of physical interactions.
Some elderly especially struggle with these tech-based customs, which create generational gaps.
I believe technology should enhance rather than replace traditions. Families could combine digital convenience with physical rituals - sending e-red packets while still gathering for reunion dinners.
This balanced approach maintains cultural essence while adapting to contemporary lifestyles.
The post-graduation destination debate has intensified in recent years, with compelling arguments on both sides.
The concentration of Fortune 500 companies and top universities creates unparalleled networking and skill-development potential.
Graduates bring cutting-edge skills to rural areas, transforming traditional industries.
By addressing urban-rural inequality, graduates contribute to China's common prosperity goals.
I advocate a hybrid approach: gaining 3-5 years' urban experience before returning with valuable skills.
Multicultural societies foster greater cultural understanding and tolerance. Exposure to diverse traditions and perspectives broadens people's horizons and encourages creativity.
Language barriers, religious conflicts, and competing values may create social divisions.
From my perspective, the key lies in finding the right balance. With mutual respect and open communication, multicultural societies can harness their diversity as a strength rather than a source of division.
Proponents argue globalization fosters unprecedented intercultural understanding.
The worldwide popularity of cultural phenomena like K-pop and Japanese anime demonstrates how cultural products can transcend borders, creating shared experiences among global youth.
However, critics warn of the loss of cultural diversity.
Western fast food and movies have pushed aside local cultures in many places.
I believe conscious efforts can preserve diversity within globalization.
