year, later, in the end.

1. Date and place of birth: on March 5, 1898 in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province
1. He graduated from Nankai School in Tianjin in 1917
3. He studied in Japan, France and Germany.
1. In January 1920, he was put behind bars while leading the Tianjin Student Movement.
2. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1921.
3. In March 1927, he led the third armed uprising of Shanghai workers;
4. In 1928, he was elected as a leader of our party;
5. In October 1934, he joined the Long March.
6. He served as foreign minister from 1949 to 1958.
7. From 1961 to 1965, he led the construction of the national economy.
