动词是表示发出动作或者表明状态的词。

动词会根据人称、时态、语态、语气而相应改变,
即动词有不同的形式。
一、动词的常见形式:
(动词的各种形式都是在动词原形基础上进行改变的)
动词的变法
(1) 一般在词尾加"s" : looks, helps, makes, knows
(2) 以s, x, sh, ch, o结尾的单词,在后面加"es": passes, watches, washes, does, goes
(3) 以元音字母+y结尾的单词,通常把y变i, 再加"es":flies, studies, carries
(4) 个别不规则动词特殊记:has, is
(1)一般在词尾加"ed" : looked, helped, played, watched
(2) 以e结尾的单词,在后面加"d": liked, used, hoped, moved
(3) 以元音字母+y结尾的单词,把y变i, 再加"ed":flied, studied, carried, cried
(5) 个别不规则动词特殊记:saw, went, did, ate, ran, came
(4) 以元音+辅音结尾的单词, 通常双写辅音再加"ed": stopped, planned, preferred
could, would, might, should
(1)一般在词尾加"ed" : looked, helped, played, watched
(2) 以e结尾的单词,在后面加"d": liked, used, hoped, moved
(3) 以元音字母+y结尾的单词,把y变i, 再加"ed":flied, studied, carried, cried
(5) 个别不规则动词特殊记:seen, gone, done, eaten, run
(4) 以元音+辅音结尾的单词, 通常双写辅音再加"ed": stopped, planned, preferred
注意:动词的过去分词已经不再是动词了,相当于一个形容词或者副词,必须跟be动词或助动词搭配使用。

(1)一般在词尾加"ing" : looking, helping, playing, watching
(2) 以e结尾的单词,去掉e后加"ing": using, taking, dancing (seeing例外)
(4) 以ie结尾的动词,把ie变y再加"ing":lying(lie), tying(tie), dying(die)
(3) 以元音+辅音结尾的单词, 通常双写辅音再加"ing": shopping, running, swimming

变否定,后加not
变一般疑问句,提至句首
借助助动词do系列,在助动词上变。
