Last spring in Yellowstone, I followed a path that took me through a dark forest.
When I finally stepped out of the trees, the view was breathtaking.
An eagle flew over the slow-capped mountains, which were reflected in the still lake below.
While I was concentrating on photographing this amazing scene, I suddenly had a feeling that I was being watched.
Slowly, and with the camera still held to my eye, I turned… and froze.
Only meters away from me was a bear. With water falling off its thick brown hair, the bears stared back at me.
Time stood still as the bear and I both waited to see who would move first.
My legs started shaking.
Somehow I forced my fingers to press the button.
A second later, the bear turned and ran back into the forest.
When I recovered from the shock, I looked at my camera.
My most frightening but magical experience was now captured forever in a single image.
Retell Paragraph 3

An Encounter with_______
Last summer, a fierce heavy rainstorm hit the city. Many trees were uprooted and hurled to the ground. For some unfortunate birds, their nests were violently blown off the trees. The following morning, as I was jogging across the campus and passing through the small path near the Lanhui Yuan teaching building, I spotted a tiny black bird hopping around and chirping miserably in the woods.
Without hesitation, I gently caught it and took it home. My son and daughter were overjoyed at the sight of the little bird. We caught some insects to feed it and also offered it fruits like watermelon. It had a good appetite and seemed to enjoy everything we gave it. However, the bird's absolute favorite food was earthworms. So, every day, we would go out and dig up earthworms especially for it.
Under our attentive care, the bird gradually grew up and soon was able to flit around our rooms. We forged/built/formed a harmonious bond with the bird. We took many photos with it and my son even created some emojis. It had full trust in us. Sometimes, it would perch on our heads or shoulders. And whenever we waved our hands, it would swiftly fly over and land on our arms or palms.
However, it has the nature to poop everywhere in the room. Besides, that summer was extremely hot and it was hard for us to find earthworms for it.
In the end, we knew that the best choice was to let it return to its natural habitat.
We hoped it could enjoy the freedom and beauty of the wild, even though we would miss it dearly.
