use some linking words properly;
write a report according to the given information.

Step 1. Warm-up

Step 2. Before writing
Task 1: Read the report on noise pollution quickly and match the headings with each paragraph.
Task 2: Study the example sentences and try to get the meaning of the linking words in the sentences.
Task 3: Read the report again and complete the report with the linking words.
Task 4: Summarize the layout of a report.
Step 3. While-writing
Task 1: Talk about air pollution in Beijing.
Task 2: Write sentences according to the given questions and answers.
Task 3: Choose the information to write in different paragraphs, using proper linking words to make it coherent.
Step 4. Post-writing
Task 1: Self-editing.
Task 2: Pair-check and complete the evaluation form.
