教材分析
本课是北师大版《初中英语》九年级第4单元的Communication Workshop部分。本单元的写作话题为给你所喜爱的宇航员写一封信。范例中,通过阅读中学女生Angela Liu 给宇航员刘洋的信,我们能感受到小女孩对航天工作者的敬意,想让自己成为一个和刘洋一样出色成功的人。所以我认为在本课,教师不单要基于话题引导学生完成给宇航员写信的写作任务,还应让学生意识到需要刻苦努力才能达到目标,实现自己的理想。
学情分析
学生在本节课学习之前在本单元lesson10-12课已经通过阅读和听力课获取了有关太空生活的一些信息,并有一定关于问题的词汇的积累。因此在教学过程中,教师通过引导学生阅读Angela的信件,先了解信件的大概内容和信件构成的要素有哪些,帮学生确定写作文体和内容。然后再让学生根据自己对航空航天的了解写一封给自己喜爱的宇航员的一封信。
教学目标
在本节课结束时,学生能够:
1. 用be adj. to learn that…, not only…but also…, …once…/as soon as, I wonder…, admire, realize等写出关于给宇航员一封信的句子。
2. 通过了解范本的结构,列出写作提纲。
3. 根据写作提纲参照练习,写出一封给所喜爱的宇航员的一封信。

T shows the Task: Write a letter to our favourite astronaut.
2. Show Angela Liu’s letter and help Ss analysis how to write the letter.
1) Ask Ss to get the basic information about Angela Liu.
2) Ask Ss to read the letter and answer the questions in Ex.1. and then check in pairs.
3) Check the answers in Ex. 1 together and T adds more questions to practice some language structures.

3. Direct students to the components and match them with the examples. Then T shows the letter and make sure students know where the components are.
