学情分析
我们教学的对象是八年级学生,经过一年半的英语学习,学生已经有了一定的词汇量,英语口语的对话能力也有所提高,基本的句型掌握也有了很大的进步。对于今天的学习内容
,前三课时他们对discuss preferences, make comparisons 已经有一定的基础,掌握了一定的词汇,通过一系列的活动,口语能力有了很大的提高,这为本节课打下了很好的基础。同时他们学习英语有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有待培养知识的扩展运用能力,大部分学生有较强的求知欲和表现欲,但部分学生存在不自信,羞于表现等思想顾虑,但又希望能得到他人的肯定。少数学生成绩稍差,学习积极不高等现象。
 
效果分析
通过这一节课的学习,在复习环节,学习掌握了discuss preferences 和make comparisons,能通过所给出的信息进行口头练习,进一步掌握最高级的使用。
在阅读环节,学生对于skimming 和scanning阅读方法已基本掌握,在预先掌握生词的前提下完成目标不是太难。通过提问也可以看出学生都能找到正确的答案。重难点词组that’s up to do; play a role in deciding 的用法也能清楚的展现给学生,一目了然。阅读效果能达到课程标准的三面要求:
1. 能正确地朗读课文
2. 能理解简短的书面指令,并根据要求进行学习活动
3. 能读懂简单故事和短文并抓住大意
在最后2d-2e的处理上,学生对于语法—词性掌握上有些困难,这是以后要加强的地方。
课后反思
通过本节课的教学,学生能基本达到课程标准的要求完成了对2a到2e 的教学。效课也可以。只是在处理新单词时用时太长,造成后面的阅读时间上有些紧张。还有就是学生对一词多义多用法的现象运用不足,英语词法学习不够,这是以后我的教学应该多加关注的内容。今后要多设置这方面的练习,去学习,练习和巩固这方面的知识。

Step 1: Free talk
Let the students talk about freely with the suplatives of the adjectives. Revise
the most talented

the most exciting
the funniest …...
Step2. presentation
Give some pictures. Like Liu Qian, China’s Got Talent, Many talent shows in the world. Learn the new words. In order to make students fun. Choose the popular pictures in life.
Finally, go through all the new words, make sure the students understand and remember them.
Step 3 Reading
First, skimming. Give the students a question: How many talent shows are mentioned?. Let them read the passage quickly and answer the question.
Scanning: Give some questions in each paragraph. Let the students read the passage carefully, answer the questions in each paragraph. Then check their answers. While they are reading, they are sure to understand the meaning of the passage.
Step 4 Group work
Reading up: let the students listen to the tape. Notice pronunciation and intonation. Then read freely and find out the difficulties and puzzles.
Solve them in groups. If they don’t solve , ask the teacher.
Step 5. Exercise
Retell the passage. Fill in the blanks with the important words and expressions.
Translate the phrases into Chinese.
Step 6. Finish 2d and 2e
Talk about the best in our class. The best singer; the funniest; the smartest; the tallest; the most creative; the busiest; the most popular person in our class. Finish 2d and 2e.

Read the passage of 2b at least three times
Grasp the new words, expressions and pral languages in 2b.

Section B (2a-2d) 教材分析
1. 教材的地位及作用
本节课节选自人教版新目标英语八年级上。这是第四单元的第四课时的内容,其中心话题围绕Discuss preferences和 make comparisons这个题材开展多种教学活动。前三节课,对影院, 服装店, 餐馆等展开了多种教学活动, 学生能用比较级和最高级来表述自己的喜好。而本节课承上启下,通过继续对学生进行比较级和最高级的talk freely,加深对其语法现象的理解和运用,为下一课时Writing打下基础。

基于上述对教材的分析,我确定本单元的教学重点为短语、句型和提高学生的阅读能力。
教学难点为掌握一词多意并会造句。

本节课先有一个自由讨论的2a部分引起学生的学习兴趣,后面才是本节课的重点阅读2b-2e 所以在本课的教学中,根据课程标准说和读的要求:要达到说的1.2..8项标准,更要达到读的1.2.3.4项标准。
