教材分析:
本单元话题为Creativity,单元话题有三个子话题---famous inventors, benefits and problems caused by inventions, creative mind .本课属于第二个子话题。
本课学习材料为一段有关于inventions的对话,对话中人物针对inventions话题进行辩论。Andrew为正方,Jenny为反方,各自陈述自己的观点,并根据自己的观点陈述充分的论据,听力材料内容体现学生批判性思维能力和思辨过程,是一段训练学生思维能力的非常有意义的学习材料。因此,在备课中充分考虑到学习材料的特点,设计了获取和理解观点性和事实信息的活动同时,也设计了对思维图示的理解,并且鼓励学生构建自己的思维图示和运用本课所学语言表达个人的观点和事实支撑,完成本课设计的学习任务。。
学情分析:
通过本单元Getting ready和Lesson 7 A famous inventor的学习,学生已经学习了部分inventions话题下的词汇,通过一些泛读材料和自己的亲身经历,学生对本话题下的背景知识有了一些了解,通过以往的教学,学生能够运用I think, in my opinion 这样的词汇表达自己的观点,也能够运用for example, like这样的词汇进行举例,但是就本课的教学内容和目标而言,学生在听获取观点信息方面存在一定难度,并且应用本节课所学内容进行表达时会有些障碍,因此在活动设计方面要为学生做好铺垫,在任务规则设计上要细致可操作。
教学目标:
1.学生能够通过听一段有关发明话题的辩论对话,获取对话中主要人物的观点并
记录信息,并能够分辨和理解不同人物的观点。
2.学生能够就发明话题口头表达自己的观点并给出原因。
3.学生能够辩证地看待发明给人类带来的益处和问题。
