教材分析
本课是北师大版《初中英语》九年级第四单元,话题是“太空”。本课是本单元的第一课,在承接Get Ready部分有关“space”话题的基础上,本课主要介绍太空中的生活。
第一课时是阅读课,侧重对课文的理解。本片文章共五段。第一段为引入段,第二、三、四、五段分别对宇航员的生活通过不同方面做介绍。学生通过skimming的阅读策略获取文章所涉及的领域,再通过阅读,逐步搜索细节信息。在阅读过程中,讲解生词并运用推断等技巧完成课后Exercise5的习题。
第二课时是语法课,侧重对so that和so…that…的理解与应用。在复习文章内容的基础上,开展语法教学,培养学生在语境中理解so that和so…that…通过Exercise 8 理解并辨别这两个结构,完成Exercise 9,正确应用这两个结构。从而突破这节课的重难点。
学情分析
授课学校位于北京郊区的平原农村校,学生的英语水平参差不齐,大多数学生整体英语能力一般,但是对英语学习有一定的坚持。对于教材中要求掌握的基本词汇和句型能够通过学习理解并运用。学生阅读能力更是两极分化,大部分同学可以通过阅读查找细节信息,而少部分同学在针对问问题回答上认为较困难。
本节课课型为阅读课,针对这种情况,在设计上,考虑学生的层次差距,设计题型具有有一定的阶梯性,教师在做题时会做一定的引导,让学困生在阅读中重新找回自信,优等生有机会发挥。作为初三的学生,恰当的应用阅读策略去阅读文章的能力非常重要,所以本节课的内容设计上注重此点。
教学目标
在第一课时学习结束时,学生能够:
1、认读以下单词:space shuttle, lift off, land, manned/unmanned spacecraft, astronaut, planet, international space station, float away, gravity, tie.
2、通过略读,选出文章所涉及的内容。
3、运用细读、推断等阅读策略,找出宇航员在太空中是如何吃喝、睡觉、锻炼、放松相关细节信息并解释其原因。
4、了解航天员的生活与我们正常生活是不同的。
在第二课时学习结束时,学生能够:
1、发现、归纳so…that…和so that的语意。
2、通过习题辨别so…that…和so that的语意功能。
4、通过对一位宇航员的采访,正确恰当的使用so…that…和so that.
