Unit 8 Communication Workshop教学设计
教材分析:
本课是北师大版《初中英语》九年级第八单元的Communication Workshop部分。本单元的话题是关于发现的事件,包括科学发现,介绍获奖研究人员,实验报告。通过前三个输入课的学习,进行了语言学习和初步运用,即学生通过阅读能够了解科学探索的重大发现和研究人员坚持努力的案例,能够运用过去时态和表示时间状语的连词描述一些科学发现以及从科学实验报告中领悟学习到的启示;通过听力能够了解研究人员的不懈努力付出,体会成功的艰难。本课是单元学习内容的综合应用与输出课,侧重语言的体验与应用,结合话题,培养写作能力。本课内容是Rich由于自己超重不擅长体育而对运动失去了信心,在一次打乒乓球时受到体育老师的表扬而开始积极努力参与运动,最终减重并成为运动之星。学生通过Rich的改变,结合自己在此方面的已知,完成详细描述我的经历的写作任务,并且做出相应的评价和改进措施。
此话题针对学生来说,有非常浓厚的兴趣,也是贴近他们的生活并且很熟悉的话题。因此,本课的教学设计分为两课时,第一课时利用阅读范文,激活本话题已有的知识,如词汇,语法,时态等,在获取范文信息的基础上,引导学生关注文章的结构,对于我的经历进行第一稿的写作。写作遇到困难时,通过同伴合作互助的方式,学生初步完成并且落实到笔头。
第二课时,首先要回顾第一课时的学习内容,尤其是关于写作要求在文章中的使用。教师出示评价反馈表,进行五人一组的评改活动。在范文点评示范后,引导学生进行写作自评和互评,学会欣赏同伴的写作优点。学生根据评价,自己修改文章,完成第二次写作。教师再次展示刚刚的范文的第二稿,既可以看到该学生写作的成长变化,又可以让全班学生体验,感悟并对第二稿进行欣赏和评价。

阅读:通过不同的阅读策略,获取文本主要信息。分析并归纳范文结构,并关注文章的目标语言。

通过阅读范文,获取有关Rich描述他的经历,他的变化以及感受的相关信息
在范文中提取作者描述中所用到的语言表达方式,注意使用一般过去时态描述自己的经历。
