What impressed me most was that after a short rain, a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky. It took our breath away! Though climbing was tiring, we all felt excited.

Last weekend, I did something meaningful because my parents were busy with work. I decided to clean up our balcony and help sort the family rubbish.
First, I hung up the clothes that were left on the chair and folded the quilts neatly. Then, I sorted the rubbish into different bins—paper and plastic went to recycling bins, and other waste went to the regular bin. Finally, I put some small plants on the balcony to make it more lively.
When my parents came back, they were surprised and praised me a lot. My neighbor also thanked me for helping take out her rubbish. I felt happy because I could share housework and make our home tidier. From this experience, I learned that small actions can make life better.

Last Friday afternoon, our school held an activity to protect frogs on the playground. All students in Grade 8 took part in it.
First, we listened to a lecture by Dr. Wang. He told us that frogs are important to the ecosystem—they eat pests that harm crops like peas. Then, we worked in groups to make small ponds for frogs. We used clean water and some plants to create a safe habitat. Finally, we made posters to tell more people about frog protection.
From this activity, I learned that frogs are our good friends. Now, I plan to stop throwing rubbish into ponds and tell my friends to protect frogs too. It’s our duty to keep the ecosystem balanced.
