This class, we will focus on the topic of “How to write an invitation letter about the sports meeting ”. I choose to model essays to help students grasp the structure through fast reading. The first one is about a lecture on traditional Chinese medicine, and the second one is about school music festival. Both of them have some key phrased and sentences that can be used in the invitation letter. I will ask students to read these two essays again and find these useful expressions.Students are very familiar with campus activities like "school sports meetings" and have certain life experiences and desires to express themselves. So I will let students invite Peter to our sports meeting by writing an invitation letter.
The analysis of students
My students are seniors at high school. They are active and willing to express their own ideas, but they face challenges with limited vocabulary and relatively basic reading skills. They tend to have anxiety about English writing. This class aims at helping students have a basic understanding of the form, structure, tense and some writing tips of the invitation letter with the help of AI.

做好学生们的思想工作。不少学生对英语写作存在畏难情绪,可以由短语、句子慢慢引申为短文写作,由易到难,帮助学生们树立信心。
选题要谨慎,从真题出发,不能让学生们产生模棱两可的想法,无从下手。
依照学情开展教学,培养学生们的句子意识,将教学材料落到实处,不能脱离文本泛泛而谈。
