"The Mysterious Island" is a novel by Jules Verne. It tells the story of five men who escape from a Confederate prison during the American Civil War by hijacking a hot air balloon. Caught in a storm, they crash-land on an uncharted island in the Pacific. They struggle to survive, build a community, and face dangers like giant birds and pirates. With their skills and the help of a mysterious castaway, Captain Nemo, they overcome obstacles. Finally, they are rescued and return to America. It's an adventure story about resilience, friendship, and the pursuit of knowledge.

And now, how can I look back upon the impression left upon me by that walk under the waters Words are not enough to relate such wonders! Captain Nemo walked in front, one of his men following some steps behind. Conseil and I remained near each other, as if an exchange of words had been possible through our metal cases. I no longer felt the weight of my clothes, or of my shoes, of my air supply, or my thick helmet, inside which my head shook like a nut in its shell.

How did Aronnax feel about his equipment underwater
A. It was too heavy.
B. It felt weightless.
C. It was hard to move.
D. It made him uncomfortable.
I no longer felt the weight of my clothes, or of my shoes, of my air supply, or my thick helmet...”
逻辑推导:“no longer felt the weight”→ 装备仿佛 “失重”。
答案:B
The light, which lit the soil thirty feet below the surface of the ocean, astonished me by its power. The solar rays shone through the watery mass easily, and consumed all colour, and I clearly distinguished objects at a distance of a hundred and fifty years. Beyond that the colours darkened into fine shades of deep blue, and gradually disappeared. Truly this water which surrounded me was but another air heavier than the Earth’s atmosphere, but almost as clear. Above me was the calm surface of the sea. We were walking on fine, even sand, not wrinkled, as on a flat shore, which keeps the impression of the waves.
Para. 3
同级比较结构省略,应为:as clear as the Earth’s atmosphere。

What does “vibration” refer to in the text
A. The movement of water atoms.
B. The sound of the submarine.
C. The reflection of the sun.
D. The weight of the equipment.
We were walking on fine, even sand, not wrinkled, as on a flat shore...”

B
A
This dazzling carpet, really a reflector, drove away the rays of the sun with wonderful intensity, which accounted for the vibration which passed through every atom of liquid. Shall I be believed when I say that, at the depth of thirty feet, I could see as if I was in broad daylight

A. The limitations of human vision underwater.
B. The magical and extraordinary nature of the underwater world.
C. The superiority of the submarine’s lighting system.
D. The danger of strong sunlight underwater.
解析:文中对水下光线 “astonished me by its power” “I could see as if I was in broad daylight” 等描述,突出水下世界光线奇特,展现其神奇非凡,并非强调人类视觉局限、潜艇照明优越或水下阳光危险。

A. To emphasize(强调)the texture(质地) of the sand.
B. To illustrate(说明) the practical use of the sand on the sea bed.
C. To convey(传达) the unique and beautiful appearance of the underwater environment.
D. To show the similarity between the sea bed and the land.
