Preparing for my university, I needed to do many things. First, I had to choose which university to apply to, what course to study and which permits I needed to study abroad. At last, I decided on the East Canada Technology University.I have made some big adjustments to my life since I moved to Canada. I missed my family a lot and I kept in touch with them by e-mail. Besides, I had to be accustomed to the food there.
Before moving to Canada, my mother taught me how to look after myself, such as cooking and doing laundry.
It has been exciting to move to Canada for higher education, although I have been verybusy. I live in a small and rectangular room with no bathroom. However, I had a really nice room-mate, who has different classes and a different timetable from mine. We have a lot of free time for personal study.

4. 开头已给出。 One possible version:
As high school students, our class have recently had a heated discussion about whether we should recycle the textbooks.
50% of the students agree to this suggestion. They point out that recycling textbooks can save a lot of natural resources that are used to make textbooks, for example, water, electricity, etc. What’s more, recycling textbooks can save lots of expense as well. It is well-known that recycling textbooks is very common in many western countries. But other students express their opposite opinions. They emphasize that the contents of the textbooks are often renewed. What’s even worse is that various kinds of notes have been made in their textbooks, which might mislead other students in thinking.
In my own idea, I think it necessary to encourage the students to recycle the textbooks, but they should be encouraged not to write on the textbooks if they want to pass their books to others. Part D on page 52.
