Choose a good time to start the conversation politely.
Try to meet in the middle. Let your mother know about your interests to get more free time.
Put yourself in your mother's shoes. You should try to understand what she does.
Write a secret message/letter to your mother. You can wtite down your true feelings when you dare not express.
Make a schedule. Let your mother see that you can well balance your schoolwork and other activities.
Be frank to your mother. Stick to your promises once made. This way, it’s easier to win her trust...
Homework
Polish the advice email you write to Rebecca.
If possible, wtite another one to Simon or Laura in the name of Cynthia.
M is for the million things she gave me.
O means only that she’s growing aid.
T is for the tears shed to save me.
H is for her heart of purest gold.
E is for her eyes with love-light shining.
R means right and right she will always be.
Put them all together, they spell mother,
a word that means the world to me.
I don’t know what home is, but unhappiness and worries melt away once there.
