【知识点】 What color和color的用法。
【讲解1】 询问颜色时用特殊疑问词组What color(什么颜色)开头。特殊疑问词引导特殊疑问句时，不能用Yes或No回答。该句型的主语it为单数，所以句中的be动词用单数形式is；若主语为复数，则be动词要改用are。What color开头的特殊疑问句可以用“It's/They're＋颜色”来回答，也可以直接单独用颜色回答。即：

—Are the oranges green and yellow？ 这些橙子是黄绿相间的吗？
—Yes， they are. 是的，它们是(黄绿相间的)。(一般疑问句用Yes或No开头作答)【讲解2】color有两种词性，一种用作名词，意为“颜色”；一种用作动词，意为“涂色”。color也可写作colour，前者是美式英语，后者是英式英语。
【拓展】表示颜色的形容词单独作表语时，只要直接放在be动词之后就可以了，但如果它用来作定语修饰一个单数可数名词时，前面必须用a或an。
试比较：误：—It's a black.
正：—It's black. 它是黑色的。
正：—It's a black pen. 它是一支黑色的钢笔。【举例】What color do you like best？ 你最喜欢什么颜色？ (color为名词)

【讲解1】 “It's/They're＋颜色”表示“某(些)事物是什么颜色的”。若表示混合颜色时，可用and连接。

【讲解2】 black意为“黑色(的)”。表示深色时可以在颜色前面加dark，表示浅色则可以在颜色前面加light。
【举例】red 红色：dark red 深红色；light red 浅红色

(1) 用在第二次或第二次以上提到的名词前。
(2) 用在专有名词前。
(3) 用在独一无二的事物前。
