It might seem truly amazing, yet it's a fact that many wild animals “drink” alcohol(酒).This surprising discovery shows that the love for the special“drink”isn't only connected with humans. It also has deep connections with the natural world.
Monkeys, for example, have a lively and curious(好奇的)character that causes them to enjoy fermented(发酵的)fruits in the forest. These fruits have ethanol,a kind of alcohol.Scientists' study shows that this “alcohol-drinking”action among animals is far more common than we first thought. Ethanol appeared on Earth about 100 million years ago.Generally, most fermented fruits have 1~2%of alcohol, while some unusual ones can even reach up to 10%.
Amazingly, many animals are born with genes that help them process ethanol. ★___ However, for other animals,“drinking”ethanol can be dangerous. It can cause them to act strangely, much like the way alcohol affects humans. Some birds might lose their sense of direction and fly straight into trees. However, there are also good things about ethanol. It can give energy to animals, so it is important for them to live in the wild areas.
This thing opens a whole new and interesting window into the animal world. It clearly shows the differences and surprises of the animal world. It always makes us want to learn more.We become more and more interested in learning more about these amazing animals.

七、
Save the wild Animals
The earth is home to both humans and wild animals. But today some wild animals are facing serious problems.
There are many endangered animals in the world, such as south china tigers and wild Bactrian camels. When farmers cut down trees, animals can no longer hide and hunt. Some people even kill them for their fur to make money. Factories also pour dirty water into the rivers, so they don ’t have enough clean water to drink.
We are not alone in the world. we human beings can’t live without all the plants and animals around us. So protecting wild animals is very important. We must take action to keep plants from being destroyed and to stop animals from being killed. we should actively do volunteer activities and hand out posters telling people to love wild animals. These steps are simple but useful. we should also do more research to protect them and build more reserves for them.
I believe everyone’s small action can make a big difference. Let ’s take action at once!
