Thoughts on the design:
本节课是以阅读、理解为主的project的第一节课。先从阅读入手,让学生首先能理解语篇,根据阅读课型遵循的教学过程,要求学生从快速阅读,再到精读,从把握文章的结构,再到把握各个部分的主要细节,使学生对语篇有一个从整体到细节再到整体的理解过程。在此基础上,做一个海报,以提醒、警告人们(包括学生在内)远离毒品,并让学生把自己的成果展示给大家看。在本节课中,也对学生进行了一次反对毒品的教育。
Teaching aims:
1. Get the Ss to read the passage about drugs.
2. Enable Ss to make a poster about the dangers of drugs.

1. Enable the Ss to understand the dangers of taking drugs.
2. Enable the Ss to make a survey in China and make a poster for the Red Cross.

Step1 Revision
The teacher starts the lesson with a brief revision about the reading “Aids today”.

Step 2 Lead-in
Brainstorm the names of some drugs which are familiar to them.
If the students can’t name them, just show some pictures to the students and give them some
figures to make them understand the frightening results better.
Discuss the possible dangers caused by drugs and make students realize the importance to
keep away from drugs.
