本单元的中心话题是“A
healthy
life”,具体内容涉及健康的饮食,吸烟危害健康,如何戒烟等内容。这是一篇阅读课。阅读课文主要介绍的是祖父以书信的形式通过讲述自己的年轻时候吸烟的经历,为孙子分析了对吸烟上瘾的原因,吸烟对人体健康有何危害以及鼓励孙子要努力戒烟。学习本文的目的是让学生明白吸烟对人体的危害,所以我们要有“吸烟危害健康”的意识,要远离吸烟,保持健康。同时通过对文章的阅读,丰富了有关主题的语言和信息。
二、学情分析
学生在英语听说读写这几方面都存在差异,一部分学生不喜欢开口说英语,一部分学生在阅读比较薄弱。希望能够通过这节课来让不喜欢说英语的学生利用一些句型去思考并表达自己的想法;让阅读比较薄弱的学生达到阅读和理解的目的,并运用所学词汇和知识表达自己的观点。
三、教学目标
1.侧重培养学生的阅读能力,通过对课文的学习,培养学生通过略读、捕捉文章信息、细读等方法掌握归纳文章主题和段落大意的能力。
2.通过课文学习,让学生了解到人们对吸烟上瘾的原因以及吸烟对人体的危害,了解戒烟的知识要养成良好的健康的习惯.
