One day, her English teacher announced a “Storytelling Contest” in class. “Anyone can join,” the teacher said. “It’s a great chance to practice your English and show your ideas.” Zhang Lin felt excited but nervous. She loved reading stories and often made up small stories in her free time. But the thought of standing in front of the whole class made her heart beat fast.
