Analysis of Students Students in Senior One know basic awareness of Western art , which arose their interests a lot. And they have a strong desire to know more about art movements like Impressionism. Reading is another way to help them systematic understand the feature of Impressionism. Following the reading steps, students will have a better understanding of the works of painters and overall painting style and influence of Impressionism.
Teaching Objectives After learning this lesson, students are expected to: 1. Identify the structure of a travel/visit article ; 2. Recognize works created by the Impressionists; 3. Give an introduction to the Impressionists’ paintings; 4. Cultivate interest in Impressionist art and cross-cultural appreciation; 5.Understand the value of art in daily life.
