Dear Rebecca,
I understand your feelings. As you mentioned in the email, you put a lot of effort into your schoolwork. If your mother doesn’t value that, of course you’re going to be unhappy. But remember: every parent has high hopes for their children. Your mother wants you to be successful but she probably fails to see how you struggle. Try these pieces of advice and see if they help improve your relationship.

First, talk to your mother. Make sure she understands your feelings. Choose a good time and start the conversation politely. You can begin with something like, “I know that you expect me to do well at school, but I’m struggling sometimes. Can we please talk ” you should also try to meet in the middle when talking to your mother. Of course, school matters, but relaxation is good for you too. Tell your mother about your interests and ask for more free time to spend on them. For example, if you like listening to music, explain why you enjoy it and how it helps you. Why don’t you make a deal that you are both satisfied with

Second, put yourself in your mother’s shoes and try to understand what she does. I know it isn’t easy, but you must be patient. When your mother keeps pressing you to study all the time, think about the reason why she does so. When I was your age, I thought senior high school was tiring too. I couldn’t understand why my parents were so strict with me. However, when I grew up, I realized that they just wanted me to have the best possible future. After that, I became so much closer to my mum and dad.
Everything will turn out all right, I promise.
Yours sincerely,
Cynthia

TIPS for writing
Dear Rebecca,
Knowing that you want your mother to pay less attention to your grades, I’m writing to give you a hand. Here are some suggestions for you.
First of all, it might be a good idea to talk to your mother. Tell your mother about your interests and explain how they help you. In that way, she will understand your feelings. What’s more, if I were you, I would put myself in her shoes and try to understand what she does. By doing this, maybe you will realize they just want you to have the best possible future.
I do hope you will find these suggestions useful. Looking forward to your reply.

2.图片展怎么翻译? picture show/exhibition
Given that you’ll hold a picture show themed on Chinese Spring Festival next month, I’m glad to share some related suggestions.
从图片展的主题→中国春节画展;
1. 切实评价画展的好;
Undoubtedly, such a wonderful event would offer all the members of your school a platform to feel the distinctive flavor of the Spring Festival. Through this activity, some shared features may be found between the culture of New Zealand and China.
It’s recommended you should decorate all the sites of the show into Chinese red and pick out some relevant pictures to exhibit.
Dear John,
Given that you’ll hold a picture show themed on Chinese Spring Festival next month, I’m glad to share some related suggestions.
Undoubtedly, such a wonderful event would offer all the members of your school a platform to feel the unique tradition of the Spring Festival. Through this way, some shared features may be found between the culture of New Zealand and China. As for the advice, firstly, it’s recommended you should decorate all the sites into Chinese red and pick out some relevant pictures to exhibit. What’s more, you can invite Chinese exchange students like me to introduce exhibited pictures.
Wish your show a great success and all of you could reap a lot in it. Looking forward to your reply.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua
