(1) 本课所介绍的是形容词性物主代词,它们一般放在所修饰名词的前面,同时它们也有人称和数的变化。形容词性物主代词的前后是不出现冠词的,这是在书写句子时最容易犯的错误。如: my father, his desk, our room, their names 等。 (2) 形容词性物主代词的用法
形容词性物主代词起形容词作用,在句中只能作定语, 也就是说它后面必须跟一个名词。即:形容词性物主代词+名词。

高小姐是我们的英语老师。

我不知道她的名字。 2.动词be的现在时态
动词 be 就是我们所学过的am, is, are的动词原形。如何使用这三种形式主要取决于主语。请看下面的例子:
① I am (I’m) Liu Ying.
我是刘英。
② You are (You’re) Lin Tao.
你是林涛。
③ It is (It’s) 3344278.
电话号码是3344278。 形容词性物主代词
我的 my 你的 your,我们的是 our。
男他的是 his,女她的是 her。
Its 它的牢记着,他们的 their 指复数。 Be 是原形, 摇身一变成 is, am, are。下面介绍一则口诀, 帮你熟记“动词 be的构成”:
我(I)用am, 你(you)用are, is连着他(he),她(she), 它(it)。
单数名词用 is, 复数名词全用 are。
变否定,更容易, be 后not 加上去。
变疑问,往前提,句末问号莫丢弃。

在一般现在时中“ be ” 有三种表达形式,它们分别是 am, is, are, 意思是“是” , 表示“ 对人或事物的判断或说明 ”,在处理主谓一致关系时,我们要注意以下几点: am 与主语 I 搭配使用,“ is ”可以与第三人称单数主语( he , she , it ) 或单数名词、动名词及不可数名词一起使用; “ are ”与其他人称代词形成的主语 ( we , you , they ) 或复数名词主语一起使用。在形成疑问句时要将 be 动词放置在该句的主语之前,如:Is this your pen? Are you Mary? 在构造特殊疑问句时,将“be”置于特殊疑问词之后、主语之前,如:What’s ( What is ) his telephone number ? 他的电话号码是多少?be 以 is 的形式出现, 是因为句中的主语“ his telephone number ”是一个单数名词短语,“is”被置于特殊疑问词 “what” 之后,主语 “his telephone number” 之前。
再如:I’m Gina. 我是 Gina。
be 以 am 的形式出现,是因为 be 是配合主语 “I” 来表示判断说明能力的。 I’m 是 I am 的缩写形式。疑问代词“what”
它的意思是“什么”,既可以用来提问“物品、东西”等,也可以用来询问“行为、动作”,还可以询问“人们的职业”,另外它还可以在将来学习中遇到的名词性从句中充当连接词,作用是非常多的。本单元要求掌握对“姓名、电话号码”的提问中使用特殊疑问词“what”。例如:

在英语国家中,人们比较注重见面时的寒暄和打招呼,与我们的习惯非常接近。人们在初次见面时常用的问候语有:
How do you do ? 有时在引见之后为了显得比较亲切自然, 也可以说:How are you?/ How are you doing?/ How are you getting along? 等。它们的答语要认真地区分开。A: How do you do?
