Step 5 Further Thinking Why are mooncakes round A round mooncake is like a round moon, symbolizing（象征） the family reunion . What 's the meaning of the title “Full Moon, Full Feeling” It expresses people’s desire for a happy family. The moon was rising from the sea, and all the people were sharing this moment. 海上生明月，天涯共此时 We may separate from our family because of work or study,but our hearts are always together . Step 6 .Summarizing Long long time ago,there were 10 suns. Beginning Hou Yi shot down the nine suns and saved the people on the earth.. A goddess thanked Hou Yi by giving him magic medicine. Hou Yi panned to take the medicine with his wife. Middle Pang Meng tried to steal the medicine. Chang’e refused to give Pang Meng the medicine and took it all. Ending Chang’e became light and flew up to the sky. Hou Yi was very sad and watched the moon at night, and wished his wife could come back. After this,people started the tradition of admiring the moon and sharing mooncakes with their families.Mooncakes are in the shape of a full moon.They carry people’s wishes to the families they love and miss. Step 7 Continue Writing T:From the passage, we know it is a pity that Chang’e and Hou Yi are separated,so Let’s continue to write the story and make Chang’e and Hou Yi “full”... Example: Hou Yi was very sad and unwilling to part with Chang'e. So he strated a difficult journey to find the way to the Moon.Finally he learned that on the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival , when the moon was full, he could use fairy grass(仙草) and spell(咒语) to open a mysterious passage(神秘通道) to the Moon . So he went through many hardships and finally found the fairy grass and learned the spell. When the night came, Hou Yi recited the spell and tightly held the fairy grass in his hand. Suddenly a bridge to the Moon Palace slowly appeared. Without hesitation, Hou Yi walked onto the bridge and went to the Moon Palace to meet Chang’e. From then on,they lived together happily. Step 7:Homework: 1.Introduce the Mid-Autumn festival to your family（time/food/activities/feelings）. 2.Optional homework:Surf the Internet for more traditional folk stories about the Mid-Autumn Festival.
