III. 听长对白,选择最佳答案(11-15)
Liu Xiang is one of China’s most famous athletes. He was born in 1983 in Shanghai and started practicing hurdles at 12. His coach noticed his talent and trained him hard.
Before the 2004 Athens Olympics, Liu faced a big challenge: he hurt his knee during training. But he didn’t stop. He did special exercises to recover and kept practicing his technique. In Athens, he surprised everyone—he ran 110m hurdles in 12.91 seconds, setting a new Olympic record. He also became the first Asian athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field.
In 2008, Liu was supposed to compete in the Beijing Olympics, but his old knee injury got worse. He had to withdraw, which made him very sad. But he didn’t retire. He kept trying to recover and even competed in the 2012 London Olympics, though he didn’t win a medal.
Liu retired in 2015. He often says to young athletes, “Winning is great, but never giving up when you’re in trouble is more important. Keep working hard, and you’ll achieve your dreams.”

V. 书面表达(10 分)
题目 1 范文:Design a Sports Activity for Your Class
A Class Team-Building Relay Race
I want to design a "Team-Building Relay Race" for my class. It will be held on the school playground next Friday afternoon, lasting 1 hour.
The activity has three parts. First, we’ll divide the class into 6 teams of 8 students each. Second, the relay tasks include running 50 meters, passing a basketball to the next teammate, and solving a simple math problem (like 25×4) before passing the baton. Finally, the first team to finish all tasks wins a small prize—each member gets a sports bookmark.
The purpose of this activity is to strengthen our team spirit (we need to cooperate to win) and relieve study pressure (after mid-term exams, we can relax). I believe it will be successful: students will cheer for each other, and we’ll know more about helping teammates. It will make our class more united.
题目 2 范文:An Inspiring Story of a Sports Star You Admire
Lang Ping: The "Iron Hammer" Who Never Gives Up
The sports star I admire most is Lang Ping, a famous Chinese volleyball coach and former player. She is known as the "Iron Hammer" for her powerful spikes. As a player, she helped China win 5 world championships; as a coach, she led the Chinese women’s volleyball team to win the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2019 World Cup.
One inspiring story about her is during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Before the semi-final, one main player got injured. Lang Ping didn’t panic—she changed the team’s strategy quickly and encouraged the players to believe in themselves. Finally, the team won the game.
This story teaches me that "never giving up" is not just a slogan. When facing difficulties, we should stay calm and find solutions, just like Lang Ping. It also tells me that teamwork is key to success. I’ll remember her spirit when I face challenges in study or life.
评分标准(以 10 分为例):
8-10 分:内容完整(覆盖所有要求),语句通顺无语法错误,逻辑清晰,有细节描写(如题目 1 的任务设计、题目 2 的具体赛事);
5-7 分:内容较完整,有 1-2 处语法错误,逻辑基本清晰,细节较少;
0-4 分:内容偏离主题,语法错误多,逻辑混乱,未达到字数要求。/ 让教学更有效 高效备考 | 英语学科

III. 阅读理解(每小题 2 分,共 30 分)
(A)
The Olympic Games are always adding new sports to keep up with the times. For the 2024 Paris Olympics, four new sports were added: breakdancing (officially called “breaking”), skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing. These sports are popular among young people, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) hopes they will attract more young viewers.
Breaking made its first Olympic appearance in Paris. Athletes compete in “battles”—two dancers take turns performing moves like spins and freezes to music. Judges score them based on creativity, technique, and energy. Skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing were first added to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and were kept for Paris because of their popularity.

Zhang Wei is a high school student who excels in both studies and sports. He is the captain of the school basketball team and has a grade point average (GPA) of 3.9—one of the highest in his grade. Many classmates wonder how he manages to do well in both areas without dropping the ball.
Zhang’s secret lies in a strict daily schedule he sticks to. He wakes up at 6:00 a.m. every day and does 30 minutes of basketball practice, focusing on basic skills like dribbling and shooting. After school, he joins the team’s formal practice from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. When he gets home, he eats dinner quickly, then starts homework at 7:30 p.m. He finishes all assignments by 10:00 p.m. and spends the next 30 minutes reviewing what he learned in class that day before going to bed.
Zhang also knows how to adjust his schedule when life gets busy. For example, before a big match, he adds 30 minutes to his practice time but wakes up 1 hour earlier (at 5:00 a.m.) to finish homework and review lessons. When exams come, he cuts practice time to 1 hour a day but never skips exercise—he says even 15 minutes of shooting helps him stay focused on his studies.
Last month, Zhang’s team played an important match against a rival school. The match was on a Friday, and he had mid-term exams the following Monday. He followed his adjusted schedule strictly: early mornings for studying, short after-school practices, and no late nights. In the end, his team won the match, and he got A’s in all his exams. “Balance isn’t about doing everything equally,” Zhang says. “It’s about prioritizing what matters most at each moment.”

Mia Hamm is widely regarded as one of the greatest female soccer players of all time. She was born in 1972 in the United States and fell in love with soccer at the age of 5. Her father, a soccer coach, taught her the basics, and she quickly showed talent—by 10, she was playing with girls twice her age. At 15, she made history by becoming the youngest player ever to join the US women’s national soccer team.
Mia faced many challenges in her career. When she was young, there were few girls’ soccer teams in her area, so she often played against boys’ teams. The boys were bigger and faster, but Mia didn’t back down—she used her speed and skill to keep up. Later, she struggled with injuries: in 1997, she had to miss a whole season due to a knee injury. During her recovery, she worked with physical therapists every day and watched game videos to improve her strategy. She came back stronger the next year.
One of Mia’s most memorable moments was during the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup final. In the first half, she hurt her ankle after a tackle. The pain was so bad that she could barely run, but she refused to leave the field. She had her ankle taped tightly and continued playing. With her leadership, the US team scored the winning goal in the second half. This moment became a symbol of her determination and made women’s soccer more popular around the world.
During her career, Mia helped the US team win two Olympic gold medals (1996 and 2004) and two FIFA Women’s World Cups (1991 and 1999). She scored 158 goals in international games—a record that stood for years. After retiring in 2004, Mia started a foundation to help young girls play soccer. The foundation organizes free training camps and gives out equipment to girls from poor families. “Sports teach you to be persistent and work with others,” Mia said. “These skills help you in all parts of life.”

(D)Team Sports and Teenagers’ Emotional Health
A recent study by Greenfield University looked at how team sports affect teenagers’ emotional health. The researchers followed 500 students aged 13 to 15 from five different middle schools for one year. They divided the students into two groups: the first group played a team sport (like basketball, volleyball, or soccer) at least twice a week, while the second group didn’t play any team sports at all.
During the year, the researchers checked in with the students every three months. They asked about feelings of anxiety, sadness, and confidence, and also talked to teachers about the students’ relationships with classmates. At the end of the year, the results were clear: students in the team sport group were 40% less likely to feel anxious or sad than those in the non-sport group. They also had better relationships—85% of them said they had at least three close friends, compared to 60% in the non-sport group.
The researchers explained why team sports help. When teenagers play on a team, they learn to communicate with teammates, support each other when things go wrong, and celebrate together when they win. These experiences help them build confidence and learn to deal with success and failure in a healthy way. For example, a student who misses a goal in a soccer game might feel bad at first, but teammates’ encouragement helps them see that one mistake doesn’t define them.
However, the study also noted that the benefits of team sports depend on the coach and team environment. If a coach is too strict—yelling at players for mistakes—or if teammates are unfriendly, students may feel more stressed instead of happier. To fix this, the researchers suggested that schools train coaches to be supportive and create rules that encourage kindness among teammates. One school in the study even added “team respect” lessons to its sports program, and after six months, students’ stress levels dropped by 25%.

Tom used to be a shy boy who was afraid to speak in front of others. He often stayed alone during breaks and didn’t join any after-school activities. His parents were worried, so they encouraged him to try a team sport. Tom chose soccer because he liked watching soccer games on TV.
At first, Tom was nervous to join the team. He didn’t know how to pass the ball and was afraid of making mistakes. His teammates noticed his anxiety and helped him practice. They taught him basic skills and cheered him on during practice. The coach also gave him small tasks, like passing to a teammate, to build his confidence.
After three months, Tom changed a lot. He started talking to his classmates more and even volunteered to give a presentation in class. He said, “Soccer taught me that it’s okay to make mistakes—what matters is trying again. My teammates made me feel like I belonged, and that helped me become more outgoing.”
Now Tom is still on the soccer team and has made many friends. He even helps new team members who are as shy as he used to be.
