1.Show six colored pens to the class,teach and practice black,white,red,green,blue and yellow.by chanting.
2.Show pictures of two bags.Tell the students:Look at these two bags.This one is red.It's five dollars.It's big.And this one is blue.It's 3 dollars.It's small.Make sure the students understand the meaning of “small”and“big”.
3.Show two pairs of socks.Tell the students:This pair of socks is long.They are five dollars.That pair of socks is short.They are three dollars.(Help the students to understand “long”and “short”.)
4.Let students look at the pictures,compare with the hat,the T-shirt.
And let them describe like this:
It's a big red hat.It's a small yellow hat.

Ask students to read the sentences in the box in pairs.
Then make conversations using the target language to talk about the things in the classroom.
Sample conversation:

1.Look at the pictures in 3b,and write the questions and answers.
2.Work in pairs.Check the answers with the deskmate.
Ask students to read through the instruction of 3c so that they can know how to do this activity.
Then put students into pairs to do this task.
Student A looks at the pictures and tries to memorise the prices. Student B asks the prices. If student A answers right,Student B goes on asking.If Student A fails answering the prices,they may change the roles.
